I don’t think we’ve set up to be negative. Apart from a 5 minute period, no one has tried to win the physical battle against their man. We may lack a bit quality on the ball, I think we all know that at the moment but there’s no fight.

We've had 2 shots hit the target in 2 and a half games of football. I'd say it's unbelievable but it isn't.

I'm not sure what else to do when we've got a squad as poor as ours. We're not a very good side, and are the lesser side in 75% of all games we'll go into this season.

If we went all guns blazing against Newcastle we'd be picked off on the counter, 100%.

Only Bournemouth have had less of the ball than us this season, 2nd most long balls, 3rd least shots on target, 4th least amount played in the opposition third. I watch us week in week out, we might as well have allerdyce managing us the football is fucking awful.

  3. How many times has anyone seen a forward make a run this match? I count one, offside. How many times has everyone witnessed us get into a good position for the ball to end up back to the centre halves, for them to launch it upfield to fucking nobody. I lost count of that.

    Tin pot football.

  4. Gray brings fuck all to the squad. Gets us up the field and does sweet fuck all with it week in week out.

McNeil, not sure how patient I need to be but I've seen fuck all so far from him.

We came into the game fucking terrified of spurs. Got two lucky chances and didn't take them. I don't think we've had a shot in the second half it's embarrassing.

This "great defensive" record is a myth. When you look at our xGA we're far outperforming where we should be. Couple that with the inability to score goals and it indicates where we going to be by Christmas. Dom needs to hit the ground running or we're in trouble this season.

IF he does I reckon he will be dignified not to celebrate too much.

Nope definitely won't, I think I recall him holding back against Watford when he scored against them for us.

That being said, I hope we get him in full on sulk mode today and aren't hesitant to go in hard on him (I know Coady and Tarks won't be).

I think I recall 1 or 2 such starting times, but honestly not 100% certain.  I wonder whether this is because of ManU’s Thurs night match in Cyprus?  Give them an extra bit of time to recover from faraway trip?

They don't normally change fixture times completely to accommodate such games though. At least I don't have to wait until Monday night to watch us!

He was turd when he came on, tried to Play his way out of trouble a few times getting us into trouble and failed to be an outlet. I know he was meany to be ill / tired, but still.

To be fair to him all of our forwards were poor for the last half an hour or so. It was very difficult for him and frustrating to watch all of them on the ball.

He has always maintained his best position is in the centre of midfield, Ancelotti and Benitez pretty much ignored or took very little notice of his request to play there, Lampard listened now it is paying dividends.
Trust me football management isn’t rocket science or Shukes wouldn’t be doing it 😂

In all fairness you can't fault ancelotti as a manager or put him in the same breath as Lampard. But that being said, he's definitely improved more than any player I've ever seen before. If I remember correctly, his performances when he started to improve were all around work rate more than anything. He was chasing absolutely everything down and busting a gut for 90 minutes every game. Maybe his tenacity to get the fans behind him is another reason his confidence has improved so much.
