That's exactly what I was just coming in here to post. Lukaku actually did something very similar against Chelsea if you remember.
What a magnificent goal that was.

All 4 of his goal contributions in the league have come in the last 3 games for Doucs. Seems to be enjoying life under Dyche

Maybe he could do with regular starts which will show whether he can cut it or not. Let's face it, we've nothing to lose as it goes.
Well he seems to have taken over Maupay in the pecking order.

Great goal by Simms, good performance, we came back twice and gained a much needed point!

I don't think the performance that half was as bad as people are making out. We've offered very little going forward, but we've slowed the game down at every opportunity and tried to make it really difficult for Chelsea who look very sharp. If we can do this up until the last 10 minutes, we can have a go as more space opens up.

Newcastle were all over Forrest at the start.
Haven't seen too many Newcastle games this season but they were very good to watch up until they conceded.

I'm still baffled at how quickly his career fell apart

You would "settle for 3" but how many do you feel we will actually get?
I don't know, it's just too early to tell with Dyche. We managed to beat arsenal, but then conceded 4 away to them. I'd like to think we can get 3 points from these fixtures, but 1 point and two good performances in the two games we lose isn't the end of the world and we can take positives going forward.
I don't think these are the hardest fixtures, we will give spurs a game at home, Chelsea are fragile, untied is definitely the most difficult fixture out of the three.

4/5 points would be bordering on ludicrous. 3 points is going to be tough. We are in for a rough ride the next 2 weeks. I've no doubt we will bounce back...I just hope the fans, and more importantly, the players don't lose hope/momentum. It's just a tough break that we have a run of consecutive fixtures like this, at a time when Dyche was starting to get some momentum.
We've taken a point off liverpool, a point away to city and 3 off arsenal this season, I don't see 4 points being borderline ludicrous. definitely achievable if the players work hard enough and add in bit of luck.

4/5 points out of these next three games would be absolutely huge, although I'd absolutely settle for 3.

So far so good in tonight's fixtures. Palace slowly getting sucked in and Southampton stay bottom.

I think he's going to be expecting to play another season for us at least. I think we need him here to be honest.

In games where we expect to be under pressure a lot and therefore likely to be facing a lot of set-pieces I imagine Dyche will look to play Godfrey for his height.
That won't necessarily be in place on Mykolenko, it may be we play a 3 at the back (that could be the case at Chelsea next weekend).
We all know how much we love a back 3 on this forum!

Those are the remaining fixtures, top 6 in bold, bottom 12 in italics. I'm going to predict the bottom 3 as:
18th will be a battle between West Ham / Bournemouth / Leicester / Palace / Everton. I'm going say Bournemouth.
19th Leeds
20th Southampton
It's a really tight one this season. This time last year, there was only 5 teams battling it out. This year it's more like 9!

I'd probably prefer Godfrey to stay there but wouldn't be arsed of Myko came back in. Both are about the same ability offensively and defensively, they both seem to get beaten 3 or 4 times a game and provide fuck all going forward. I think Dyche will prefer Mykolenko because he's left footed and will cross more often, but I like the way Godfrey is so quick he can cause absolute panic for defenders.

Chelsea(a), spurs(h) and United(a) next. We needed those three today.

McNeil MOTM. That second half was rough.
He's (not surprisingly) been a different player under Dyche.
It's almost as if players attributes and strengths fit into certain systems, isn't it? How strange. Maybe if we'd have thought about that when we signed him under Lampard... Well we wouldn't have.
-
An absolute must win today and a huge task given Brentfords current run. Not an easy game but I'm happy with the performance, we didn't allow Brentford any easy chances and the team were well disciplined and didn't make any silly errors today.
Out of the relegation zone, for now, with a game up on everyone around us. West ham and Southampton losing tomorrow will be hugely beneficial.

I hope Dyche goes to town on the VAR for that decision.

Honestly managers get fined for talking against these ridiculous decisions by the referees. When are the referees going to be held accountable for the inconsistencies week in week out? We've seen instances this season where vars have 'forgotten' to draw lines on a fucking offside image. Decisions like this can be absolutely catastrophic for teams in our position.
Is it a hand ball? I don't know - nobody knows apart from Gray. That's not the point. The VAR has GUESSED that it's handball. If you're reduced to guessing it means that the referee hasn't made a clear and obvious mistake, that's the rule isn't it? It has to be clear and obvious?
How long have we been doing this dance? And still fuck all has been done about it. It's absolutely ruining the game.

He could make a good pairing with Dom when he's back, two big physical lads up top giving defenders plenty of battles. That being said, I wouldn't mind Gray up front next to Dom, I think they would compliment each other quite well.
