That's exactly what I thought when we pushed Fellaini up top. It'll be interesting to see what Dyche does for the derby. It could be a really big chance for Simms who I'd imagine is already in the mold of a striker who Dyche prefers. Hopefully he can take his chance if he plays. I do think Dyche will stick with Oana, Gana and Doucoure in midfield.
 

Not sure if anyone has already posted this but now did everyone feel about us seeing the game out? I wouldn't say I expected the three points but I felt a lot more confident than in recent months watching us manage the game. We looked in much more control than we have done.
Going back to Dyche's infamous "these lads don't know how to win a game"... Today we did look like that.

Makes me even more curious about what lamps was working on in training with regards to set pieces. We've looked really strong from them this game.

4 years ago we said goodbye to my Grandad. That weekend we played Arsenal. At the post funeral wake I got me and my boy tickets and we won a good game 1-0.

If this is the case you'd have thought the club would have all this sorted before he stepped onto the training pitch.

It's almost as if Newcastle haven't been watching him play this season. On top of that, why anyone would invest so much money into an individual with a stinking attitude is beyond me.
It's such a shame, if he had more of a driven and professional personality he could have been a very good player. Another Barkley in the making. We will see him at Newcastle, then somewhere like West Ham or Bournemouth, then he will be playing abroad somewhere when he will be all but forgotten about. And it's no less than he deserves.
He has personally ruined his career before it even begun.

He's inevitably going to line this squad up as a 442/4411 on the pitch, which I'm not against. I'm curious about where Iwobi would play, whether that be in one of the two central spots, or out wide.
The obvious thought would be that in defence he will play Keane and Tarkowski together. That seems logical, but I think he could favour Coady with his range of passing.
I think Dyche is a wise choice for the position we are in, and his appointment could pay dividends in the long run. Not necessarily in the sense that he will take us to stardom, but he could be the catalyst for change that the squad can build on in future seasons. I'm hoping he can rebuild the foundations.
