Yep...those 2 clean sheets mean we haven't conceded from a set piece for 2 games. A record this season.

Came on the Silva thread. Ended up reading a page and a half about Moshiri and club ownership.
Standard ToffeeTalk. Harder to follow than my Glaswegian wife after a few Bailey's.

Most satisfying thing for me was the 2nd clean sheet in a row. Yes it's not exactly a great run, but it's a start. Gifting the opposition goals rather than making them work really hard for them has been the most annoying thing about this season for me. If we stop that, we'll be much higher up the table.

    Got lucky?!
he did his job and, more importantly, got the players to do theirs.
He needed that as much of the rest of us but it was he that got it right and fair play to him

Anfield game was a big turning point for us, after we'd played the best we'd done there for many years; hopeful we can do the same to them. 95th minute winner would have me needing to be peeled off the ceiling.

This does three things for me.
    1) Boosts my opinion of Marco. Glad to see him call this out.
    2) Further strengthens my seething hatred for Klopp
    3) Hopefully is another added fire under us to go out there and get three points on Sunday

It’s not the increases in the accounts that make the big difference for me, the reduction in interest payments alone has been the biggest positive that I’ve seen.

Can’t sell them really, well, it. I’ve got one share, it was a gift from an auntie who isn’t with us anymore. My Dad has one too. May be a hostile take over one day haha

These billionaires do it for the bravado, for their ego, so they can tell their other rich mates they have a premier league football club to match the yacht.
To say the club is in a worse financial state is ridiculous, have you read the last two years accounts? We are financially stronger. He put money in, with loans that have no repayment date and no interest. We were paying millions in interest alone for the last twenty years.
As a businessman surely you can see the difference he has made to how the company is now run? The complete corporate restructure, removing poor performance and bringing in experts in their fields. Yes the on field performance has been poor, he hired the managers, but that’s all he’s guilty of as far as I’m concerned. I know plenty of other shareholders who feel a whole lot more comfortable with what he’s doing than they have for the last two decades of amateurs running the club. People like Denise and Sasha are making a difference, he needs Brands to make the difference on the pitch now.

Any billionaire who’s in football for the money is an idiot, no one makes money owning a football club anymore. It costs them a fortune, unless you own Man Utd and you leverage your assets it’s very very hard to make money and be competitive at the same time.
I don’t see why you think we are failing Palfy? Yeah haven’t won anything but we aren’t any worse off than we were under Bill. We’re just about the same, but with a bit of muscle in the market.

I disagree Palf....  if he was picking players, tactics, buying and selling them I would agree.  He isn'tt though.... yeah he made a couple of poor appointments managerwise which is his fault but he has bought in brands and from that point I believe manager hiring will be his bag.
Under kenwright we were nothing.... a team selling our best players, having failed stadium moves, failed investments,  his mate phillip green fleecing us......it take moshiri any day over all that.

Most of us were getting excited to get the DoF who brought in the likes of Drogba, Zola, Mahrez and Kante. Moshiri invested in him, like he promised, and things didn't materialise.
People slamming him saying he's not very good at running a club, but not many complained when he came in and threw money at Walsh and Koeman.
He wouldn't have known if the risk would have paid off or not, much like anyone else. However, at least we have an owner who is at least trying to make the right decisions and putting his money where his mouth is.
His heart is in the right place, and he will seemingly keep trying until he gets it right - which he deserves credit for.

How much can we counter-sue for under the Consumer Rights Act?
As with the Sale of Goods Act, under the Consumer Rights Act all products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
The rules also include digital content in this definition. So all products - whether physical or digital - must meet the following standards:
Satisfactory quality  Goods shouldn't be faulty or damaged when you receive them. You should ask what a reasonable person would consider satisfactory for the goods in question. For example, bargain-bucket products won’t be held to as high standards as luxury goods.  Fit for purpose  The goods should be fit for the purpose they are supplied for, as well as any specific purpose you made known to the retailer before you agreed to buy the goods.  As described  The goods supplied must match any description given to you, or any models or samples shown to you at the time of purchase.

Cant judge him on one season, considering the mess he inherited.
I want him to have a full preseason with players and a second summer transfer window where he and Brands can get a striker (or 2), get a right back to compete with Kenny and get rid of the dead wood.
Once this has happened and the new players have had a chance to settle, and existing players a chance to get their confidence back, then I will be in a better position to judge him.

Good derby that. I thought we really took it to them and just that little bit more luck would have got all 3 points.
Gana stepped up 2nd half. Richarlison made a big difference. Bernard never stopped, nor did Sigi or DCL.
Plenty to build on there. 2 clean sheets on the bounce...when was the last Time?!
And the Goodison faithful sounded immense.
