toffee77 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Without Fellaini I'd go: Howard Neville Jags Lescott Baines Ossie Castillo Arteta Pienaar Cahill Anichebe 1-1. Torres for them Cahill for us. Quote
Bill Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Think the only change should be Anichebe in for the missing Fellaini. Quote
aaron Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 i agree with bill on this one, move cahill back to fellainis postion and stick vic up top. 2-1 to liverpool Quote
MikeO Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I wouldn't put Vic in. Stick to what we had today but bring in Gosling for Felli and play TC up front on his own. Stoke have just completed their second clean sheet against them this season (unlucky not to win today), if we can say that a fortnight tomorrow I'll be a happy man . Quote
scouse Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Have to agree with Mike on this one, bring Gosling or maybe Castillo into the middle of the park, tho i think Gosling may be a little to inexperienced for this big game. Who know we may have a new striker by next week.... Quote
Romey 1878 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I wouldn't put Vic in. Stick to what we had today but bring in Gosling for Felli and play TC up front on his own. Stoke have just completed their second clean sheet against them this season (unlucky not to win today), if we can say that a fortnight tomorrow I'll be a happy man . That's what I'd do as well. Anichebe is fucking useless, and that's being generous. Maybe he needs a run of games but a merseyside derby is not the game to start that run on. Quote
BedfordBlue Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I would play either castillo in the middle or put Osman behind cahill and play Golsing on the right. Quote
Sprooly Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 i would play Howard Hibbert Jagelkia Lescott Baines ------Castillo---Neville---------- Osman-----Arteta-------Pienarr -------------Cahill---------------- or Howard Neville Jagelkia Lescott Baines -------------Neville------------- Osman------Arteta-------Pienarr --------------Gosling-------------- ---------------Cahill------------- Quote
Jesse11 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 There is no way Vic should play he contributes nothing to the side and we are much better playing Cahill up front. Bring either Castillo or Gosling in or if Yobo is fit put him back in the centre of defence, Lescott on the left and Baines in midfield. Quote
MikeO Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 HowardNeville Jagelkia Lescott Baines -------------Neville------------- Osman------Arteta-------Pienarr --------------Gosling-------------- ---------------Cahill------------- Do you know something we don't Sprooly ? Quote
GMorrison183 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Knowing Moyes...if Yobo is back to full health expect to see Baines at LM and Lescott at LB. I don't think he is though; I haven't been able to find an article about this on their site? Personally I'd put in Gosling, then move Osman inside. As long as we don't pull a Bolton... Quote
Heather_6 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) I'd like to see: -------------Howard------------- Hibbert Jagelkia Lescott Baines Osman Arteta Neville Pienaar -------------Cahill---------------- I don't want Vic in if it was me coz i reckon he's crap at the moment and he's useless as most of you have said. I'd like 1-1 but I reckon it'll be 2-1 or 2-0 to them "moyes will probs go with vic but i wouldnt hesitate to bring gosling, castillo or even jukebox in both gosling and jukebox are more likely to score ....sorry vic just cant cut it" Who is jukebox? Edited January 12, 2009 by Heather_6 Quote
Bill Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 -------------Howard------------- Hibbert Jagelkia Lescott Baines Osman Arteta Neville Pienaar -------------Cahill---------------- I respect your opinion Heather but we could do with 11 men rather than 10. For JUKEBOX read Jutkiewic (SP). I THINK. Quote
Heather_6 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Haha oh sorry Bill! I'd probably through Gosling in or even VDM:P Quote
Blue 250 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 luckypool wont fancy this game one bit! A half fit teenage striker being our main attacking threat, and the ever improving Fellaini missing, how the hell can the table toppers with £50million pounds worth of talent on the bench last week lose? Moyes and the boys keep grinding out good results and performances and the spirit is growing in the camp. The mega rich reds with captain fantastic at the helm will be more of a test than say any of the last six games, except maybe Chelsea, but they are there for the taking if the mind set is right. The pressure is on them, they have to win, even a draw will be points lost, that could help us. For maximum pressure lets hope Man Utd win their games in hand, and win them well. Quote
MikeO Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 For maximum pressure lets hope Man Utd win their games in hand, and win them well. That's a very good point. Very good chance they won't be at the top of the table come next Monday . Quote
skipsey1993 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) Hi all new to the forum I would say bring either Castillo or Gosling in for the missing Felliani and make that the only change. Don't think Vic could handle their defence on his own to be honest. Maybe go with Castillo though due to more experience. My prediciton is going to be 1 - 0 to us with Jags getting the goal Edited January 12, 2009 by skipsey1993 Quote
MikeO Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 My prediciton is going to be 1 - 0 to us with Jags getting the goal Sounds good to me, another optimist on board . Welcome. Quote
Churinga2 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Bring in Alex Ferguson for Fellaini Seriously, I have no idea how to play liverpool best :/ maybe 5man midfield, with pienaar and osman in a attacking role, and castillo with neville and arteta behind them Quote
Romey 1878 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Howard Webb will be the ref for this. Quote
Finn balor Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I think Moysie will play Vic up top due to the fact they have a lot of height at the back and are quite physical. When Felliani doesnt play we look a small team which worries me especially in the midfield. Im gonna go for 1-1 Osman for us. Quote
Scottish Red Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 luckypool wont fancy this game one bit! Is that so? I think you'll find we can't wait.. Quote
Scottish Red Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Howard Webb will be the ref for this. Please God no! Quote

kearnss Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 i agree with sprooly ' Howard Hibbert Jagelkia Lescott Baines ------Castillo---Neville---------- Osman-----Arteta-------Pienarr -------------Cahill------ i think it myt work!! Quote

MikeO Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Howard Webb will be the ref for this. Who's he playing for though? Referee Howard Webb apologised to Birmingham after deflecting the ball in the build-up to Wolves' winning goal in the teams' FA Cup tie on Tuesday. (Daily Mirror) Quote

MikeO Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Oh no ! That means we have the hyper-intelligent Sammy Lee to cope with... "You certainly get a different view of things up there (in the stands) - but he sees things that I don't when we're both on ground level, so there's no difference there!" Pardon? Quote
