troy8
http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/114686/Elm-grows-on-Everton/ supposidely he's got a throw in like delap - I'd have him on that alone! Never heard of him so can't really judge him except for the fact he plays regularly for what seems to be one of the better teams in Sweden, would have to see him play first before assessing. However if the throw-in rumour is true that'd be a good positive to his game.

EFC-Paul
I have never seen the lad play myself but im sure i've heard his name mentioned on here before as a good young player? He sounds promising and we need numbers and at that price it may be worth a punt. Posted by Peter in the Berg thread, Peter could you shed some more light on this lad mate? Latest news I've read is that Groningen are set to keep him after contract talks broke down after this weekend. I still don't rate Berg as good enough for the EPL still though. He's always struggled against better opposition and frankly for 10£ there should be better alternatives. I'd much rather Moyes looked into Rasmus Elm, he's class week in and week out in Allsvenskan, had a great impact on his debut for the Swedish national team and was great in the U-21 Euros. I think the going price as stated in swedish press is around 5£.. Edited July 18, 2009 by EFC-Paul

Everton_Worshiper
That overhead kick goal was ace technique...looks promising but who knows if he could cut it in the Premiership. No mention of price but surely only couple of million..?

kingn5
could turn out to be 1 of d moyes is bargins......get him and cana recon elm will be between 6 and 10 mill though The prize quoted in the swedish press is £5 million http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/fotbollsbladet/sverige/allsvenskan/kalmar/article5530077.ab Swedish teletext are reporting that we are favourites ahead of stoke, fulham and ajax. Here are some more clipa from his most recent game in the league http://tv4play.se/sport/fotbollskanalen?videoId=1.1091038 He is a very akillfull allround midfielder with great set pieces and is by far the best player in the swedish league. My one worry with him is that he is not exactly a rocket. Perhaps he can be caught for pace in the prem?

My one worry with him is that he is not exactly a rocket. Perhaps he can be caught for pace in the prem? He was named in Kalmar's squad for tonight's game at BP in Stockholm so no negotiations today.. I really hope this deal comes through, he's very mature for a player of his age and vision and passing that is singular in the Swedish allsvenskan. Hopefully he can take some of the creative responsibilities from Arteta and mature into a class player. Should be something of a bargain at 5£.. GMorrison183
How the agent is talking makes me believe this move won't happen. I will say though if "Elm" is the sort of "squad players" Moyes is goin' after I think we will be in good shape. Keep in mind Bayern Munich, Valencia, PSG (who I'd say we are on par with), Sevilla and Marseille are also being linked to him.

LexKing
AJAX is a big club in Holland, but ill think they are a threat vs us only if this guy is planning his career like is said. That he is building his career slow way and dont wanna rush at all. That could be a bigger club with good reputation on Europe and then later take the bigger step. It was funny on that interwiew that he said when asked "What did you do last Friday?" his reply was, "I was home .... part." And when asked "Where you in Liverpool?" he simply replied "No comment."...

The Blues flew out to America this morning for the start of a 10-day training camp with a near full strength squad and there could be an addition to the numbers very soon. Just the one addition then in the next 10 days...hmmm not what we wanted but the more the merrier eh? Elm on the otherhand looks pretty good, again i can only go on scouting reports and youtube, but all-in-all looks a good prospect. His speed/acceleration isnt the best, but his playmaking, movement and shooting (have you seen the vids ) are top drawer.
