Steve_E
Can only be Seamus Coleman imo. Great defensively, had the better of Kolarov every time going forward. Very good performances from Mucha, Heitinga and Gibson as well. Everyone responded well though. Edited March 16, 2013 by Steve_E

troy8
Hard to pick, everyone put in a good shift. Have to go with Coleman though, just a boss down that right hand side! Absolutely buzzing from this, COYB!!!
pete0
Feel bad not giving it to Coleman as he was immense today, but Mucha kept us in it. Anichebe and Mirallas deserve a lot of credit for giving the City back line a Yaya.
Mirallas
team of the day for me: Mucha Coleman - Zabaleta - Heitinga - Baines Gibson - Fellaini Mirallas - Osman - Tevez Dzeko
Madmatt
should be another option for the whole bloody team. Fantastic preformance and finally made me get back on here after 7 days away :-(
Avinalaff
I think Coleman is our player of the season, and despite Mucha being awesome when needed, it would be a travesty for Coleman not to get recognition for today.

Pearso
I would have given to Mirallas had he stayed on. Was fuming when Moyes took him off. Mucha must get a mention, but it has to go to Coleman. I think he's been our player of the season. I bet Baines is loving the weight off his shoulders as well. Maybe he's still worried about Mirallas' injury sensitivity. Man City is a team that does a lot of tackling and usually makes a lot of fouls. But indeed when you're a man down, Naismith is a weird decision.

pete0
Tevez didn't do much either, reminded me of Robinho's performance a couple of years ago.

Aidan
Coleman had his best game in a Blue strip today he was absolutely superb. I had to give it to him but if I could Id give it to three of the toffees today. Mucha was outstanding and that game has completely changed my opinion on him. Anichebe worked so so hard you could see the passion in his game time and time again. Osman was good, and the goal was outstanding I bet he enjoyed that one! As for Pienaar I really feel sorry for him, even if we lost that game I wouldnt have been mad. I know he made a bad mistake but the man looked livid when he left the pitch he worked really hard as usual before he went. Just one more point. What was the result against Wigan last week?... I seem to have forgot!

Zoo
Could be either Mirallas, Coleman, Mucha or Anichebe for me today. In the end I went for Mucha because I thought some of his saves were top drawer and kept us in the game. If we would have gone to 1-1 with 20 minutes to go then we'd have probably thrown it all away. He should keep his place even when Howard gets fit.

Mirallas
Aww come on, why Anichebe? Sure he seemed motivated, but he has been sloppy.
Zoo
Aww come on, why Anichebe? Sure he seemed motivated, but he has been sloppy. Why not? He worked his arse off all game and I can't think of anything he did wrong all day, it's was an almost perfect performance for me.
pete0
Distin was the only worry at the back think he needs people shouting at him a la Yobo.
Zoo
Distin was the only worry at the back think he needs people shouting at him a la Yobo. Thought he was really solid today actually, I just think that as you pointed out he needs someone telling him what to do from time to time. I thought that our defence was pretty solid all round actually today, I was going to have Heitinga as my MOTM until towards the end when he started to fade.
