msloan78 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Share Posted January 1, 2014 I've got a lot of respect for Le Tissier and think he would have a reasonable opinion on the whole transfer thing, given that he had the talent to play at any of the top clubs back in his day but chose to continue playing for his 'home town' club even though they were never going to rip up trees. Realize he was a decent player who endured a lot of personal issues, but players are responsible for their own actions. Seen him on sky sports and its an individual that,s a lot more tolerable than other names such as Stelling or Thompson. On the latter, and with other names like Le Tissier, Rush or even Gullit, it can only be a relief that they never followed Merson's affection for a sniff of charlie - but still not a name you can find any real animosity with.
