Celtic's been mentioned a few times, actually think it would be a waste of his talent going up there, but he'll look at league and cup winners medals and champions league football.

Would we want him back? We've got VDM, Cahill, Ateta, Neville, Kilbane, Osman, Davies, Carsley all fighting for 4 spaces?

I'd say NO, been there, done that. Lets move on and look for someone new

(and I agree with goldfishes appraisal)

You never know thought, and if it happened I'd probably be made up as hes forth it just becasue hes such a character

Lets not forget, if we are to be come a real force we need depth to our squad and players who are fighting to be in the first team, not just 11 decent players

I would say know, however.

Depends on how much he would cost us and how much money he wants each week.

Agree with Goldfish need someone like him. but would he go again if someone came in for him.

We get first offer anyway don't we and also for the same amount we sold him for. Would he want to come back anyway

According to the gossip page on BBC teletext (Finally we are back on there with 2 stories) DM wants Grav back (Star) and will allow Naysmith to leave to Celtic for £1m (Knew the Celtic thing yesterday as was on sky Sports)

Don't know anything about the Grav story (As in if there are quotes or just what someone at the Star 'knows'

If anyone gets the star feel free to tell us what it says

More on it here aswell:

MOYES IN CHASE FOR GRAVESEN

DAVID MOYES is preparing a new bid to bring Thomas Gravesen back to Merseyside. The Danish midfielder (above), who was idolised during two years at Goodison Park, has been told he can leave Real Madrid after failing to make the grade at the Bernabeu.

Everton have first refusal, after agreeing the clause when they sold the 29-year-old to Real for £2.45million in January.

The sale of winger Andy van der Meyde to Torino for £3million and left-back Gary Naysmith to Celtic for up to £1m could fund the transfer.

...............................

With that £4m i would rather go for Barton, Nolan, or Jagielka.

He's a 100% driving force in the middle of the field, i wouldnt mind him next to me down the trenches.

Having said that, i would rather we go for Jagielka, a natural left sided midfielder, but would still take any of the other two.

I really don't get the fuss with Barton, he is (for lack of a better phrase) fookin crap.  Spits his dummy out at the slightest thing and has more bad games than good.

Hes not crap mate, far from it. He reminds me alot of Steven Gerrard, obviously not as good. But he has that bite and grit that would make our midfield something to be feared, it would make those pansy midfielders think twice before trying their tricks for fear of getting a good kicking from him. Its just my opinion but i would love it if we bought Barton.

I'm with mark think he's exactly what we need he has grit but he can pass and shoot from long range too.

Horrible little gobshite (that has nothing to do with what his sibling did, hes just a nasty tw*t anyway) but he is some player.

I've said a few times I would like to see him at Everton and hes in his last year of his contract is he not? Few million might tempt city.

Mark, bare in mind he is talking about the Barcodes. They can afford his wages we can't.

God I f*cking hate Newcastle United.

Where does all of Newcastle's money come from? Theyve squandered so much of it over the years, but its still like an endless pit. Is it because so many of their loyal fans burn their shirts in protest at not winning the league and then have to buy new ones?

yea but i think i heard yesterday hes off to celtic?

Anyway this is on foootball rumour: now that joey barton has signed a new contract at city, Everton will step up their attempts to sign stilian petrov. they will try to include naysmith in the deal.

sounds good but naysmith in the deal...

Theres talk today of Wayne Routlege moving on from spurs there was alot of hype surrounding him a year ago and spurs midfield isnt the easiest place to break into.

Anyone fancy him?

when west brom beat us last time he played against us he was man of the match ronnie goodlass  said he was head and shoulders above any Everton player that day...but  goodlass hasnt got a clue i suppose.  instead we will persevere with the poor players we have who are a drain on our club they cant even get fit.

Ronnie Goodlass hasn't got a clue? get real mate. Everton have been tryin to get him to coach in the academy for ages, this fella knows what hes talkin about.

and he did play well against us, more than likely because he wanted to get in here

I would not take Koumas unless it was on a free as I said on another topic.

Don't like him and don't rate him at all. Championship player at best.

Done well for Cardiff last season and wants to go back there.

Would take routledge if the price is right but would guess he only going to be a squad player for us i signed

Thomas Gravesen's agent admits Real Madrid want to sell the former Everton midfielder - with the 30-year-old keen on a move back to the Premiership.

Gravesen made seven appearances for Real last season and John Sivebaek told BBC Sport: "He would like to stay, but the club want him to look elsewhere.

"He loved England and he is only 30 so he could still play at the top level. So why not move back to England?"

But Sivebaek played down a report linking Gravesen with Newcastle.

"I think some teams have contacted Madrid, but I don't know anything about Newcastle," said Sivebaek, after a claim which appeared in Wednesday's Daily Express newspaper.

"He's not looking to leave Madrid, but it seems that he's not going to play there.

"He's not keen on leaving but if he's not going to play, he will look at other options."

The Express claims that Gravesen is part of a triple swoop being lined up by the Magpies, along with Jonathan Woodgate and an unnamed striker.

The Dane's future at Real was already in doubt after the Spanish club signed Brazilian Emerson from Juventus.

And he was involved in a training ground punch-up with team-mate Robinho on Tuesday, an incident which was sparked by a tackle by the Dane.

The rest of the squad had to intervene after both men's tempers flared.

Gravesen, who has also been linked with a move to Scottish champions Celtic, played just seven times for Real last season and made just one appearance in the league.

Everton sold the Danish international to the Spanish club in January 2005 for £2.5m.

Gravesen made more than 130 appearances for the Toffees during his successful five seasons at Goodison Park.
