MC11 Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Jagielka for me. Agreed he looked at the top of his game tonight. Quote

markjazzbassist Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Jags for me. Negated origi and snuffed out a lot of attacks and balls in the box. He's back ladies and gentlemen, the Phil jagielka of old is finally back. Quote
EFC-Paul Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) Jags for me also Kept a very talented young player in Origi at bay and made some smart challenges and interceptions definitely seems to be regaining his form I thought the back four Barry and Besic did well defensively I'd love to see Besic cut loose more often and charge forward as he's more than capable, Hibbert since his return has seemed as solid as I've ever seen him and Distin put a pretty solid shift in aswel Not the most entertaining game you'll see but a solid performance and a decent point away from home Edited October 23, 2014 by EFC-Paul Quote
Bailey Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Yeh I will go with Jags as well. Nice to see him return to form. Quote
JoeQuince Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Jags. Defended really well and actually played some nice passes. He's looked good as of late. Quote
rubecula Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Jags did well but my vote went to Eto'o because he attacked as a lone striker, attacked in partnership with Barkley and Lukaku, distributed the ball in midfield and defended well at the back too. To me it was a great game for him, (and would be for any striker) his only failing was he didn't score, which if he had, would have been richly deserved for his efforts on behalf of the team. Quote
Gwlad Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Philip, though Hibbo was deserves a mention. Quote
Newty82 Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 No vote sorry. Really couldn't decide. Can't remember anyone standing out to me. Quote
MikeO Posted October 23, 2014 Author Report Posted October 23, 2014 Jags by a mile, all those knockers hey who shall we pick on next ? Bit unfair. He was "picked on" when he was playing badly, now he's playing well he's being praised. Seems about right to me, the next player we "pick on" is the next guy who's not playing well (McGeady for me) but if he turns it round I'll be delighted and give praise where due. That's how it works. Romey 1878 1 Quote

Newty82 Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) You're getting too comfy (or possibly even aroused) on that fence . Haha! I know!!! Unusual not to be able to pick someone out but looked at the names and couldn't really think of anyone. Might not have helped that through the first half I was making the wee boys dinner, then trying to feed him, take him for a dump etc!!! Edited October 23, 2014 by Newty82 Quote
Paddock Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 Jagielka stood out a country mile. Not sure what match Newty was watching if he didn't spot that to be honest. Quote

As I have hinted at...Bit distracted by a 3 year old!!! But yeah, usually a name stands out for me even in boring games, just not last night. Maybe I nodded off and didn't realise!!! Quote
