Soldado just missed an open goal from 4 yards...... he's got to be the worst striker in the Premier League

No, it's Lazio and this is how you spell Perugia.........

A thousand times, "No"! Please God no!
Anyone who has so little respect for himself and others does not deserve to wear any team's shirt but particularly not ours.

Cake reacted to EFC-Paul in Longest Thread For Drivel (or the Romelu Lukaku thread)
Totally different prospect we had Oviedo Distin and at a push Garbutt with the first two being knowingly capable of stepping in and doing a job and goals are a far bigger concern and need for us right now.
I really don't like the possible prospect of starting with Naismith upfront he's a work horse and a decent enough player but far from being the man to lead us on to the possibility of European football and with Traore being an unproven quantity we really do need to bring someone in now.

Cake reacted to Romey 1878 in David Moyes thread
The best one I've seen so far is Moyes' head on Miley Cyrus' body riding a wrecking ball. Fucking brilliant.

Goodbye and good luck. Never hid when things weren't going his way. Ended up being a 'there or thereabouts' buy for us but is a trier and that's part of what wearing our shirt is about.

That colour-coded to the shirt Keith Lemon bandage Suarez wears. Horrible twat! What's that all about, as well as the finger-licking?

Suarez kissing his fingers, as he does, after scoring. Looks like he's licking chicken fat off them, or something. Odious twat! What's it all about?

Cake reacted to johnh in AVB sacked by Spurs
Spurs have had seven managers (not including caretaker managers) since 2000. Len Shackleton summed it up in his autobiography. He had a chapter called 'What the Average Director Knows About Football', it was followed by three blank pages. Levy needs to look in the mirror.

Cake reacted to Hafnia in Martinez won't last the season
I'm just trying to work out what clubs with a better following than Everton would have offered a manager £70k a week to do the following:-
Work with a low risk transfer budget, enabling higher wages to attract the quality places who can be bought cheap Finish in the league in and around where your wage budget predicts you will finish Surrender to top teams as long as you do the above Play any negative tactics and selections which may result in the above, as long you do 2 above Allow you to tell the fans and press that its ok to do the above 2 because you are a little lowly club
I don't really think other options would have been anything other than maybe Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle.... do we really need to thank him for not going to those mega clubs???
In all seriousness, as stated before, Moyes did a rescue job for us and dined out on that.
Joe Royle rescued us from relegation, won a cup, took the game to the so called big teams, transformed the team and rather than use "transfer policy" to negotiate a new bumper deal for himself actually had the integrity to resign when the board never ok'd a move for Tore Andre Flo (who would have been amazing for us BTW). I respect him immensely.
Joe Royle is 5 times the man David Moyes will ever be. His humble style and loyalty to what Everton are to him will always be a reason why fans love him - it's just a pity some only remember Moyes... Joe Royle was a MAN.

Disappointed in this thread. When I saw the title I thought it would be about sandwiches.

Cake reacted to Romey 1878 in Tim Cahill On Loan?
Invite him back to watch a match and let him come on the pitch at half-time so he gets the opportunity to say goodbye to the fans properly. But that's all.

Cake got a reaction from Romey 1878 in Clint Dempsey
He had one season with Fulham when his goal tally got into double figures. He's somehow managed to feed off this and earn himself some serious money. He was shite at Spurs, but so are loads of others who go there. When the going gets tough he's someone who can be relied upon to get going where the action isn't. When he's not scoring he doesn't create. I don't care what his other stats are, heart rate, family history, preferred pre-match meal, he's clearly back where he wants to be and definitely where he belongs so he should stay there and keep the fuck away from Everton Football Club.

The Daily Mail are running a story about Adam Johnson showing his playful side and great friendship with Aguero after Johnson pinched Aguero's arse before yesterday's game. What a cheeky minx he is, that Johnson. I'll bet they howled laughing and nudged each other, knowingly, in a bloke way.
The only downside is the Mail ran the story under the headline; "Football Star In Immigrant Sex Abuse Scandal"
