  1. yes fantastic i was wondering how he did. thanks for the clips and for that after match review. so excited to see more of him at everton!
  2. farewell landon, i'll never forget that algeria goal. back to the match, glad mixx scored, really like the look of him. we need creative players like him. chandler looks real nice tonight too, attacking and defending well.
  3. exactly tom brady had a lower body injury every game one season just cause he wanted to keep the other team thinking he might not play. there might be strategy here and that's why RM is coy, also maybe they just don't know. i'd rather have he's out, and then (like with ross now) he'll be in training next week. that's much better than the Kone out 8 months, then another setback, then no he's not fit, then he's still hurting. too much information, if he isn't playing or match fit i could care less of the timetable. just tell me he's out and when he's back.
  4. My mother and father are Slovak, and I loosely root for them. Haha made up! Way to go my brethren!
  5. I agree with your first paragraph. mcnair didn't do anything to "have him in his pocket". Our attack was terrible so he didn't have much to do. Look I get what you say and agree with half of it. But this isn't golf, it's a TEAM sport, you can't blame everything on one person. I agree rom hasn't been great, touch is rough, passing could be better, and could give more effort. No argument there. I just can't dig the it's all his fault thing. We have 4 game changing starters out, it's going to be rough. You're a Brit so this might miss the mark but here goes anyway. Lebron James is one of the best basketball players. When in Cleveland his supporting cast was dire, and he drAgged them to the playoffs every year but once they were up against good teams, they'd simply take him out of the game strategically and watch the bad supporting cast tank it. He goes to Miami with 2 other world class player, bosh and wade. they start winnin championships left and right because you can't eliminate all 3 when only 5 play on the court. This is how it is with rom (in my opinion). We are one dimensional and he gets tactically taken out. Someone else needs to step up to take the target off his back. We don't have Ross and kev and Seamus so it's very easy to neutralize us. This has more to do with Roberto than Rom. since our bench lacks impact players (or they are injured).
  6. they all have double teamed him, what games have you been watching? every run down the middle versus man u he had 2 defenders on either side. no special attention, read the sentence before again, he's getting double teamed which is special attention. occasional blooper? he can only pass backwards poor nais, every time we counter and he gets the ball the counter breaks down because he passes back to a CM or CB and we lose the advantage. if he does try to pass forward its to the other team. i love nais just as much as the next guy, but he's a poacher, and that's it. his passing is woeful. if we didn't have Rom pulling the 2 defenders nais wouldn't be getting open as much, simple as that. put chris long in there and nais will suddenly be in a drought.
  7. same here. 12 goals for wigan the year before we got him. we could use 12 goals this year.
  8. yep. In n Out is actually decent. My wife studied nutrition and they did a tour of their facilities. They quality of meat and veggies and potatoes is better than anything you can get in a grocery store, that's why their stuff tastes good. also the fries are actual potatoes they cut up, not some frozen shipment of "potatoes". Plus they pay their people great wages, a store manager can make $100,00 or more depending on location and the workers are paid over minimum wage.
  9. i was disappointed with the 4 options as well. where was option 5 - he has a broken toe and is playing injured
  10. great point. obesity is an epidemic over here, all the food is polluted with genetically modifying it and meat isn't even really meat, more "animal parts" mechanically joined to make it look like meat. for real food you have to pay a premium and shop at a whole foods organic grocery type store. my wife studied nutrition and you have to cook at home and make very conscious decisions to eat well here, or be blessed with crazy metabolism, either or!
  11. Lol well played. We do love our McDonald's here.
  12. I'll try and say this as polite as I can. You're a phd right Steve? The restaurants you frequent and the ones I frequent probably are a lot different. Every mid range to low priced place won't have lamb. High end places will have it.
  13. so this stems from the team not being able to pay them living wages? surely with all the money they make from the men's TV deal they could throw a few thousand quid to the ladies to beef up their salaries and make them pro.
  14. i've been wondering where he has been. i still think he's got something left and would like to see a cup game or europa away game for him, get his confidence back. Stones (when fit and not injured) is our #1 CB for me, but I'd love to see the Distin pairing. They both are very calm which I like in a CB, Howard does enough yelling and who ra and all that anyways.
  15. sorry i should have clarified. now that we have 2 fit CB, jags and alcaraz, hibbert with have to be the backup guy for europa and league cup stuff till distin gets better. i believe his style of play would be better suited to CB than RB, he doesn't bomb the flank, he's essentially just a Right CB.
  16. i can't wait for him to have a hat trick and a brace and then see this thread. i'll be LOLing
  17. Yes mike I also loosely follow the other leagues and was thinking the same thing! Hamilton was just promoted and they beat Celtic today 1-0 and are leading the league. very surprising. Dundee United is doing well which I had figured since they have they great young core (well 2/3 got sold but one is still there and they have all the cash). Rangers just can't seem to hang in the championship. I thought after blowing league up with all wins and 1 draw (maybe 1 loss?) they would be on a tear this year as well. But maybe not, fascinating stuff either way. In the bundlesliga borussia Dortmund are 5-6 from bottom, lost a couple in a row now, Klopp today said they have hit rock bottom. In ligue 1 Monaco having lost James and falcao seem to have lost their ability to score as well. Sitting a couple spots from the relegation zone, I wonder if they'll be spending in January.
  18. Same here I've been saying the same thing. Europa cup and no relegation is all I want
  19. Half that and the other half is stats don't tell a whole story. Back passes side passes , the old cb to wing to cb to Barry to cb to wing to barry helps pad the stats.
  20. wow, surprised his was that high. not surprised with lukaku to be honest. not going to bash him, i've stated in his thread my defense of him, also he's 21. thanks for the info though, very interesting.
  21. diego costa has cesc fabregas supplying him (don't have a equal here), hazard making runs and taking on 2 players (ross is injured, same with mirallas) or shurlle making runs (coleman injured). he's not a one man team. costa doesn't pass to himself, make a creative burst and touch to himself cross to himself and score.
  22. yeah i've been following nikica, he's on a great run right now. not to take anything away from him but i'd like to see his return for the whole season, he's a hot and cold guy, but he's real hot right now. 6m we sold him for?
