  1. wow, yeah i don't see us getting much if anything at all. his contract isn't up till summer 2016 so we might be stuck with him.
  2. Scored the tying goal for hibs in their league cup. Went to pens and his shot was saved, hibs lost. Doing well up there, keep it up lad hope ole stubsy gets them promoted
  3. Haha Steve you're dead on. I have paid about 750 dollars to red light cameras or traffic cameras that are on random streets. They suck. Here's my take. Either go loose on the traffic laws and keep it like the old days. Or become Germany where it costs like 2000 euro to get a drivers license. That will cut down on unnecessary drivers. Then they also have 3 strikes, 1 ticket/fine is like 500 euro. The second it's 1000 euro or something crazy, the 3rd you can't drive anymore. When I was over there everyone drive fine, because you had to.
  4. I think we need to get browning playing time now. Europa, league cup, get the lad some minutes. Yeah I would be fine with Alcaraz re-signing as well, but only if he finishes this season injury free. If he's out again for something or another, I say just let him go, not worth the wages.
  5. What are your thoughts on distin and Alcaraz? Would you like to see them re-signed, or rather see the likes of Galloway, Pennington, and browning?
  6. Yes I think so as well. I'd be okay with it, off the bench he still offers something. But I can understand why some here will hope he retires.
  7. Bored at work today so I thought I'd have a look and see who is out of contract at the end of the year. Here's the list so far pulled from the team website. Christian Atsu (loan) Slyvain Distin Leon Osman Antolin Alcaraz I think distin and Alcaraz will be let go, and we'll see browning and either Galloway or Pennington as the 4th CB. Osman is a tough one, could see a 1 or 2 year deal and he's a squad player, or I could see him getting released. The interesting thing is we have a ton of players who's contracts end in 2016. Mirallas, pienaar, naisy, Kone, Oviedo, Hibbert, gibson, eto'o. Should be interesting.
  8. I'd really like to see this guy get some significant game time this year. i think he will be replacing distin next year and will rotate with jags, stones, and Alcaraz. But it would be nice for him to work out some of the kinks this year.
  9. he finally scored one in the league cup against swansea. the shite won, hopefully some swans are a little tired for our match saturday.
  10. Sorry I'm 30 years young, so might not have been around for that one.
  11. Sgt. bilko was a remake? Man I loved the Steve Martin and Phil Hartman movie, I laughed so hard.
  12. yeah, he did a half hearted attempt to strengthen the back line, but it hasn't done anything really. i agree that brenda is to blame as well, he's made some terrible transfer dealings.
  13. glad they're getting back to match fitness, won't be too long now till we just have stones and mirallas sidelined. we will have plenty of options for Europa and the league that aren't named mcgeady.
  14. his assists this year have been crucial. one of our top 3 players year in and out.
  15. yeah, they don't look right. benteke needs to regain his form for them to start scoring. time to put in a cheeky delph bid?
  16. i was dead wrong with eto'o, willing to admit that. thought he'd been washed up at chelsea and am wrong. turns out he just needs to be utilized in the right way. i'm glad he's here and hope he keeps scoring and is mentoring ross and romelu. both need to learn his ways.
  17. we're a couple points off top five (let's hope arsenal lose, we win, man u draw or lose, and liverpool lose), romelu and eto'o have found their shooting boots, and ross is back. additionally the only injuries left are stones, mirallas, oviedo and Kone. We're back baby!!!!
  18. spot on. thank you. he's banging em in, let's see where it takes us
  19. yeah i was working on a lineup howard coleman alcaraz jags baines mccarthy barkley barry naismith lukaku eto'o or howard coleman alcaraz jags baines mccarthy barry naismith barkley eto'o lukaku
  20. yes swansea have looked good, sigurdsson is so underrated in my opinion, bony doing well too. going to be a tough match, but hopefully we can avenge that league cup loss. we need the strongest lineup for this one i believe, must win to keep the momentum going and to keep rising up the table.
  21. i'd love for chelsea to bang in a couple more, make the goal difference wider.
  22. missed the match, but oh so glad when i looked at my phone and 3-1 win glad romelu and sammy got on the score sheet. baines best creator for us still, love that man.
  23. Agree to disagree then. We are a top 7 club, not mid table or lower, same with United he had them top 7 with a qpr talent level team (okay not that bad but you get my point). He's not a mid low gaffer, results prove otherwise. And yes fat Sam is doing well, but let's give it the whole season to see if it's just a run of form and the fact Kevin Nolan is on the bench or if he's for real. Diafra sakfo and enner Valencia were good pickups by them, looking like some real players. Credit where credit is due.
  24. Agreed, berahino keeps banging them in as well, there might be a nice player there, I just haven't watched enough to see what kind of striker he is. Irvine is doing a decent job, I'm happy for him.
