That would only be likely to happen if we were requesting it as our grounds for appeal, and I can't see us doing that.

You could be right. To be fair I'm not 100% sure how the appeal process works legally.

To be fair again, the Premier League obviously don't know how all this is meant to work so I would say virtually anything is possible (apart from the top 6 being handicapped in any way).

Absolutely. That's another reason why I didn't really get why some Everton fans have said we shouldn't have appealed, why some have said now that we're safe we should withdraw the appeal.

The only way I can see us withdrawing the appeal is if Forest don't get anything back from theirs (due to have the verdict any day now).

The only reason I would want us to withdraw the appeal is if there is any chance at all of the 2 points being moved to next season.i.e. the panel decide that hitting Everton twice in the same season isn't "fair" and should be done next season.

  3. Great Result, still think our football was far from good, but I'll take any points right now.

I'd be angry if I was Forest on the penalties. The 1st one I think is 50/50. The 2nd could easily of been given handball and 3rd was a pen for me. Tbf we've had similar penalty shouts this season and not got them.

How Ashley Young wasn't taken off is completely beyond me as was his even starting the match.

We just have to get to the end if this season still in the PL and reset.

With a few high wages off the books in the summer we have a good chance to properly rebuild.

I have read it as -

3 points deduction for a breach plus 2 point deduction for the magnitute of the breach, deemed 'modest' rather than signficant (£16.6m). So before mitigation factors we have been given 5 point deduction. (Paragraph 180 then 187)

less 2 points becasue of the fact we have already been penilised in over part of this 3 year accounting period (para 206) and

less 1 point for an early plea to PSR breach (Para 260)

So final deduction of 2 points.

We got no consideration for the fact the USM sponsership go pulled due to UK sanctions of Russians or any other financial hit like anything argued towards the stadium.

We got no consideration for 'exceptional co-operation' - our co-operation level was the 'level expected'.

We also go no consideration from a sustainable 'New Recruitment Stratergy' that has been implemented at the club.

Wow! I thought they just got a pair of Dice out, rolled them and went with result and then laughed and slapped themselves on the back about what a great deliberation they had as they no doubt got a big cheque for their work as well!

  5. All I want for this season is we stay up, get new owner/sort finances out and get stadium finished. Some ridiculous big earners should also be off the books (holgate/gomes).

That gives us the platform we need to come back to our best.

Don't care whether its 0, 6 or 10 points as long as the outcome at the end of the season is we stay up.

State of that kit, it’s like a bucket of cold sick being poured in your eyes every time you see it.

Even a point today would be immense. COYB.

You seem a bit on the fence about the kit mate. Can't you be a bit clearer about whether you like it or not?

This is one of the biggest mistakes ever made by the Premier League, and it's going to create a huge backlash. Looking at the situation objectively, there are some positives here...

    - Certainty is better than uncertainty. While the decision is extreme, at least we now know what it is and can deal with it.

    - It's going to put a huge spotlight on the big teams. I don't see them continuing to get away with their financial shennanigans.

    - This is the right time and the right season to face a points deduction since, on the pitch, we're on the up and up.

    - If we appeal or even sue for lost TV revenues, it will bring a level of accountability the league has been sorely missing.

Oh how I wish we'd secured three points against Brighton and not just one. We wouldn't even be in the bottom three.

If we'd beaten Brighton what's the bet the deduction would have been 12 points? This all stinks to high heaven.

Who's playing fat twat football? Because there's no way that blob would've got a team having 25 shots on target in 5 game.

Have a look back how many have won it since the Premier League started. Its been a Manchester club or 2 of the Londons clubs with 3 exceptions in Blackburn, Leicester and that lot. Over 30 years.  So far as I can remember this early in the morning without coffee at least.

Football has become such a business and this top 4/6 bubble has been a strategy by the league. It keeps the money in fewer pockets, meaning more money for those few.

With you on the last bit though. I'm not bitter, just numb and disinterested in the game in general

    You're probably right Matt overall.

That Arsenal match had me really deflated though. We looked exactly like we did under  Fat Sam. It is one match in isolation though and not fair on Dyche overall.
