Gwlad got a reaction from Matt in Ashley Young
Continuity will be vital next season when we will have players sold so happy with this. Seamus the talisman will be inspirational in our last season at Goodison. Young is a bit hit and miss but worth keeping.

Gwlad reacted to Wiggytop in Seamus Coleman
I noticed Seamus was being particularly attentive to her, such a wonderful thing for any young Evertonian.
BTW it really annoys me when a player runs past the mascots and doesn’t tap hands or acknowledge the mascots, Danjuma and Maupay always seem not to.

How good is that. Great memories can be made even more special when you have people like Seamus in the club.

Gwlad reacted to c1982 in Jack Harrison
Leeds will start the summer, promoted or not, with Summerville, Gnonto, Sinisterra, Dan James and Harrison as their wing options… we’ll have McNeil, Young (if he renews), Dobbin and Stanley Mills. We need at least 2 wingers this summer. In my opinion, Leeds not being promoted would be good for us as Harrison on-loan or a lowish fee would at least offer continuity. With him and McNeil playing, we’ve been solid, not always that exciting, sometimes very frustrating but solid - part of why we’ve earned 48points this season. I see McNeil and Harrison as solid/reliable performers - good foundations to build on. We need to add a bit of flair and more importantly PACE to this now.
Going back to a previous comment about scouting the Championship - I like the look of Rowe at Norwich and Fellows at West Brom. Villa did well snapping up Rodgers from Middlesbrough.

But we are Everton. Points deduction didn't work, put us out of business.

I think the main stipulation, and the one they are failing on is having any money.

there is no way the PL will 'sign off' on 777 Partner in their current climate, and they are not turning all this around in a fortnight (or 10days now).
PL don't have to come out and formally 'reject' them, they will just keep saying that 777 are not yet in a position to demostated that they are fit and proper to be owners.
I think the truth is that once the Everton takeover door slams shut on them - 777 Partner are in a whole heap of trouble, beyond what they are already in. This one looks like a house of cards

Just thought I'd start the thread and say how different this trip to the Emirates would look to 2 years ago. If results go our way and we somehow win (we won't but go with it), we should really have 51 points minimum, 2 wins off the UEFA places. Despite that run.
Still, we're gonna get fucked as hard as the PL has fucked us this season like, just thought it was an interesting comparison with 2 years ago

FFS Moshiri, just sell the damn club to people with actual money, who will run us properly.
777 are like a team of hustlers playing the "Three Cup and ball" game, here's the takeover money, Opps now its gone. Standard here's the money for wages Opps its gone.
Premier League washing their hands of the whole affair, sooner they have a proper commission to replace them the better.

Gwlad reacted to StevO in Seamus Coleman
Just sign a two year contract so we can all relax knowing he’ll be there when we walk out a Bramley Moore. That’s all we need from him, well, all we need for him! He needs to go down in history as our first captain down there.

Gwlad reacted to Cornish Steve in Sean Dyche
Here's the bottom line as I see it:
1) Job done this season. Without the points deduction (and its psychological impact), we'd be firmly mid-table and probably upper half.
2) For the first time in several years, and again despite the points deduction, we faced no final game dramatics to avoid relegation.
3) This was achieved after being forced to sell some of our top talent prior to the start of the season. Can you imagine how many more points we could have secured with Anthony Gordon still on the roster?
4) It was also achieved with one of the smallest rosters we've seen in recent years, the result of our financial straits. Those we brought in were risky but savvy transactions on minimal budget.
5) We now have one of the best defences in the league, a blend of experience and youth that has benefited Branthwaite and Mykolenko in particular.
6) We've definitely seen changes in tactics, although stability and consistency have clearly been the focus. I would add that, in previous seasons, plenty complained about all the chopping and changing in team selection and tactics. (I would venture to say that consistency is one of the big reasons for our strong defence.)
7) Dyche just won manager of the month and has received significant praise from other managers and pundits alike for doing a phenomenal job this season. Of the many positive comments, take Alan Shearer's: "What a job he’s done this season, Sean Dyche, in really difficult circumstances, a brilliant job."
We can nitpick, for sure. The style of play has not been that exciting, although there have been glimpses of a more positive style. Experience has trumped youth, for sure: Young and Coleman over Patterson; Gueye over Onana; Pickford over the others even for cup games; and so on. We cannot second-guess, though. Would youth have won more points? I doubt it. In tough circumstances, most managers would turn to experience.
IMO, Sean Dyche should be guaranteed the whole of next season, with sensible checkpoints and milestones, of course, to monitor progress. This year saw solid progress under difficult circumstances. Next year, we should expect to see more progress, not just treading water. As long as we're always making progress, why ever would we change managers?

Sprouts halved and pan fried in butter or with bacon. Revolutionary.

No I don't think he does. I think he chooses who he thinks would cope with the situation and we've got a couple of young players as regulars. Actually, just curious, what do you consider youth? For me it's 23 and under.
I was annoyed that Chermiti didn't get more minutes but I'm also see the logic in playing the strongest squad. Granted these remaining games have played out like we're safe but we've won the games so it's justified. Is it what I wanted? No.
And yes, he could've played favourites and ignored Branthwaite and played Keane instead. But he chose not to. Yesterday was the first time I saw Dobbin actually get involved, maybe we will see more of him. Patterson will be playing more or sold I'm assuming, though would've liked to have seen more of him.

Let's form a corporation and sell shares at £10 each. How much is needed. £600m maybe? That would be 60m shares. Some corporations and major investors will purchase in the hundreds of thousands, and I reckon a lot of fans would pay between £10 and £100. We can appoint a board and truly make it the people's club. That way, there's no need for any type of dirty money. evertoninvestments dot com.
