Broken record by now but all we need is a striker - no one to shoot, no one who is good at free kicks...hell with this line up I'm not sure who would even take a pen. Good half but god do we need a striker!!

Is it me or does the wiring to Doucoure's legs seem to get crossed as soon as he gets inside an 18-yard box?

And there's Doucoure. Brilliant footwork one minute, stumbling over himself the next

Everton attacking is positive today.  Inability to finish is maddening.

Dyche really doesn't rate Demari! I mean he's got his faults, but when you're devoid of attacking edge, I think he needs to play.

Fair to say we desperately need 10 points from next 5 matches.  That would give us 28 points from 27 matches, and give us a reasonable shot at 38-40 points.  Something dreadful like 2-3 points from next 5, and we’re done.  A mediocre 5-6 points, and we’re in big trouble.
The Leeds match is a proverbial 6-pointer, and so a must win.

Have now seen it again.  Coady doing absolutely nothing is just bizarre.  Like too many Everton players, not alert, not forceful, not aggressive.

For someone who likes the sound of his own mouth it’s quite a worrying thing to recognise that they can’t admit when they made an error.  He could have just said “I’m disappointed in that, got a bit wrong footed and maybe git worried about an own goal but made the wrong decision”

Coady tried to excuse it….. he can piss off. Awful defending.

It’s a running and passing game.  We’ve little pace and too frequently cannot make basic passes of intermediate length.
Much more discouraging, we lack any semblance whatsoever, collectively and therefore for the most part individually, of the emotional attribute I most value in sports: relentlessness.
We are the opposite of relentless.  Call it relentless-less.  We are too frequently a lethargic mental or physical mistake away from just giving away a goal or failing to pounce on an opportunity to score a goal.
Maybe we’ll stay up.  Need 10 points from our next 5 matches, including 3 at Goodison and away to Forest.

I think the key point is that Soucek deliberately went down, rather than the normal understanding of “falling.”  He deliberately went down and deliberately deflected the ball.  I’ll be surprised if any commentator, after noting the rule you cite, doesn’t go on to say, “But he wasn’t really falling, so it’s a clear handball.”
I don’t care one whit that Chelsea didn’t get the 3 points, but I care that WHam got a point.

Do you honestly think having another manager with these same players, will change anything?
Were running out of managers to get these players working to be honest.
Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most respected managers ever. He had to walk as he simply knew there was nothing he could do with this team. Who is better than him, that can come in and change the way these players play?

I honestly believe the ethos of these players is what hurts us most. I’m going round in circles saying this….. and it will all become clear when we get players that are more about press, aggression and work rate.

A very poor west ham side beat us today by simply turning up the pressure for ten minutes, that’s all it took. But can we turn out players into highly aggressive players? Course you can’t, no manager can change the fundamentals of a player. This is why we have transfer windows.

It's a complete lack of intensity that lost us that match.
Every single one of them needs to be showing more on the pitch. The amount of passes back into our half is an absolute disgrace. The amount of times players receive the ball, put their foot on it and then have a look around to see what they wanna do with the ball. Gray a prime example of this and someone who should be pushing forward a lot more. The amount of lazy backward passes and pure half-hearted from him today, really pissed me off. But that goes for all of the players.
Fuck confidence, fuck coaching, fuck tactics, fuck the board - today's on the players. They can't hide behind Frank, the board, Moshiri, or anything else; every one of them needs a good kick up the arse.

Iwobi’s pass to DCL.....  Like his shot that hit the post in the first half......  Players will think, we just need a little luck.
But the problem isn’t bad luck.  It’s consistently mediocre [being generous] passing, poor crossing, poor finishing, little team speed, awful recruitment.
