You say we need to make it awkward for their defenders but say Simms is the one to do it... oxymoron. Not a chance they even know they're up against him .

Just a big body to pump the ball up to and get after the second balls. It’s a better option than Maupay

The shite have for years been a team who don't know how to defend, what they have been through is a goal machine which more than disguised their defensive frailties, now the goals have dried up since Mane's departure the defence has been exposed for what it is poorly inadequate. This is a great opportunity for us to get another one of those elusive wins at Anfield.

I really think we can get something out of this game. Chances are better with a fit DCL to lead the line. If he isn't fit and the choice is between Maupay and Simms I really do not know who to choose. Maupay has the experience and shithousery skills to get under Liverpool's skin but he carries no physical presence and has no pace. Simms is quick and big but still raw in premier league terms. I even considered starting both of them in a 4-4-2 but then who would you leave out?

Either way, I am confident that Dyche will have a plan and that we are capable of getting something from the game.

Alarm will be set to just before 4-00am Malaysia time so that I can watch. It's going to be a long Valentine's day!

Think it's the midfield that's the problem more than the defence. They have no control there whatsoever at the moment so the defence gets exposed over and over in a game, so it stands to reason that they're going to concede more now. You can only keep teams out for long if you're constantly giving up opportunities - we've seen that with us over the years.

I would agree with that as well, a combination of not scoring with a weak midfield and a poor defence means it's a definite win for us😉 get ya money on it everyone.

Any news on DCL yet? I know he has had some flak in the past - not least from me - but without him I think we have to set up very differently unless we think that Simms is now ready to lead the line.

We really do need another quality striker.

I am sure Klopp will be trying to motivate Liverpool that a good performance in the Derby can be a catalyst for turning their season around. We need to be very careful against a wounded animal.

Need to just frustrate the hell out of them and just really get at them and get their crown starting to groaning at them. Not the Liverpool side of the past couple of seasons, so we have a much better chance than we usually have at Anfield.

We don't want an stupid red cards, as much as a result against Liverpool would be great for a feel good factor - out next home game against Leeds could well be our most important of the season.

An incident free bore draw will do me tonight.

Great chance for Simms tonight as the starting CF nothing to lose and loads to gain for him. I imagine Dyches instruction will been fairly straight forward as we will be out of possession most of the game. I'd be playing for lots of crosses - either get the ball in the box or off a Liverpool player for a corner.

Work with a few Liverpool fans and can never understand why they get nervous ahead of a derby at Anfield.

No striker up top is a massive worry, I think it'll be a convincing home win to be honest. Klopp will see this as a springboard and regardless of recent form Liverpool are both an excellent team and an outfit that has had our number most years.
