The difference here is that if you do find a good DoF then that good manager leaving is not such a big deal. And a good manager can somewhat offset a not-so-good DoF. Will Burnley find as good a manager when Dyche leaves? Probabilities are against that. Especially as the squad is now all his doing.

I wish we could go back to the time when people were able to write coherent messages.

Those guys have been at their clubs exactly because they have been punching above their weight. We had Moyes who did the same. But it's really hard to find a manager who does better than average on the long run and still stays at the club instead of moving to bigger and better things.
DoF thing is prevalent in other big leagues as well as US sports. The thing to realise is that a good DoF is more important and more influential than a good manager.

So we build a stadium bigger than that other lot. They expand by rebuilding one of the stands. Then what?
How about instead focusing on what's the best for this club and not worry about that other lot? Matchday revenue is only a small part of a club's income these days. Especially Everton's as the club wants to keep the tickets affordable.

And I'd like to see a 24-year Dixie Dean. About as likely to happen.

So, Allardyce is prepared to pay 8 million plus about 7 million per season for someone who manages about ten matches per season? A four-year contract would cost the club roughly 35 million. I would hope that money is spent on someone who spends more time on the field than in the treatment room.

If we were in a steady situation with a settled team then maybe. With the current circus of players, half of whom seem uninterested and a squad that needs a complete overhaul, Arteta would be a too big risk.

I found it hard but if you go into your ticket history you should see an eight digit number next to your "File contact" name; that's your customer number.

There may be an easier route, but I found my customer number like this:
Log in -> tickets -> my account -> update details

I can't help comparing him to Sakho. Shit at the RS and Sam made him so good the West Ham defence was practically quickly built around him. He's got pace and power and is good in the air. We need all three so it's convenient we get all of that in one package.

Has Keane been worth the money? Siggy? Williams was over 10 million, think it was 12. Schneiderlin had a good four months, 20 million for that is a bit steep.
The main issue however isn'tt to look at signings player-by-player but as a whole. What's the vision? If all the signings have been good then how are we so shite?
