yeah I was hoping Davies would be in there. Wonder if he picked up a knock, he's not even on bench

The ball he sent across the box to Walcott (which he launched at a passing motorist) was beautiful

I don't think he's wrong on any of this really. Or at the very least, it's points worth considering.

He doesn't seem to be the focal point of Silva's attack. If he is tying up CB's and creating space for others, winning headers and such, he may be giving Silva almost everything he expects. But the fact of the matter is, you're wearing the 9, and you were generally the farthest player up the pitch and the closest player to the goal. At the very least you should be putting ball in the back of the net from rebounds, crosses, spills just being at the right place at the right time in the box,.but he's not.
But it's also a huge problem that the team is only getting four or five shots a game and 0 to 1 on target, nobody is getting any rebounds.

Garden gnomes have excellent timing, and they are quick off thier feet as everyone knows. No shame there. Plus they put that little pointy hat in your back right before they jump...sneaky

Schneiderlin didn't have a bad game for me. He is a solid but not spectacular player - a very good compliment to a more active dynamic midfield partner. The last 30 minutes of the game we were basically in a 4-2-4. The only thing I really saw missing from Schneiderlin's game was his partner. If it had been Gana having his worst day ever, it would have been similar. If it had been JPB in there today instead of Schneiderlin, especially in the last 30 mins, he wouldn't have looked good either trying to cover the entire middle of the pitch.
Gomes had his worst game in an Everton shirt, and crippled us. It happens.

I noticed Digne do that last game as well, he's like Mina's minder. I like that Mina is fiesty, but time and a place. He had NO business getting involved in Coleman's free kick that resulted in the double yellow. He wasn't in the play, he wasn't near play and that was his captain who had it under control in discussion with Oliver. Digne went and pulled him out, and when Mina kept going, Digne, giving away half a foot, didn't back down and got his finger up in his face and Mina backed away. I don't speak French or Spanish, but he clearly said "calm the fuck down and shut up ya big bastard". Of the several things that I noted during the game, most of them not good, that one event very much stood out.
Someone said something earlier about there being no leaders on the pitch, I slightly disagree. Lucas Digne may very well be next man up for the armband.

There's too little composure by too many when faced with opportunities. Was encouraged by Iwobi and Kean though.

Bernard is playing MUCH better than Richy for me. 7 has done little that's threatening since he didn't get the pen call (which was a good no call).

These lot need their heads pulling out of their arses. Absolute shambles since we went behind. Gomes stopped wanting the ball, the other forwards' second touch is a tackle and Keane isn't on a different planet.
Mina, Digne, Coleman and Schneiderlin are the only ones fully engaged in this game. The rest need to get a fucking grip.

A Juve fan at work pulled me aside to tell me how angry he was to see Kean go, and that we’ve got a serious player on our hands. Says the YouTube stuff won’t come close to showing how good this kid is. I told him at least they still have Ronaldo etc and he just shrugged. I got rather excited after that...

BB was great. You had a feeling, eventually, where the conclusion of characters were heading (with some surprises) as the writers begin to narrow the character's options, but it was still fantastic television.
In BCS, you know EXACTLY what happens to most of the characters we meet, and it's a trainwreck.  But the fact that the writers keep you so riveted to see the series of events from seemingly divergent character, that lead to the trainwreck...and all the "ah, that explains" moments. It remains to be seen if BCS could be a "stand alone" series, but for me it has surpassed BB, which is a phenomenal feat.
And depending on what they do with the final couple of seasons, there is certainly the opportunity for a third installment. Maybe on Gene, maybe Jessie who knows.

The break is to absorb what happens. The reason BB is my favourite show isn’t because its a watch and enjoy title. It needs reflection to truly appreciate it

I usually explain the Cup competitions, especially the FA Cup to my confused compatriots as being similar to the NCAA Basketball Tournament  - March Madness. For those not familiar it's a 64 team (college) basketball tournament at the end of the year that includes the best 40-50 teams and another an15-20 that only qualify from winning other tournaments, played over about 3 weeks. They are put in 4 groups/regions, seeded best to "worst" 1-16 where 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15 and so on, knockout/single game style. The winner of each 16 team regional advance to the Final 4, then championship. An "8" seed has won it once, never a 9-16, it's set up for the best teams to advance. But every year some unfancied "Cinderella" 15 beats a 2, or a 12 beats a 5, then a 4 etc which is like a Newport County knocking Leicester City.
So most colonials  do "get" the giant-killings, especially if they follow March Madness.  But you are correct in that our professional sports have no possible scenario for lesser/lower teams to even play, let alone beat the big boys. Only baseball even HAS a "lower divisions", but they are more analogous to U-23 and U-18 teams, not lower divisions. We simply have no professional equivalents.
You don't want to be a proud part of a smaller team's history......
