If you are prepared to accept the longest run in our history without a win, and if you are prepared to accept some of the worst football played by an Everton team in my lifetime that’s for sure, and if you are prepared to accept some of the poorest managerial decisions especially in game time, then yes you have your successful season, but if you aren’t prepared to accept those qualities as I don’t then imo it’s been far from a success. 
And all that you have said about points deductions, and our position in the league from last season, doesn’t make it a successful season it barely makes it bearable and just adds to how unsuccessful the seasons have been for many years now, from the running of the club and the football we have witnessed. 
And if it still baffles you try setting your sights a little higher and you may then experience the disappointment that I and many others like me feel about how successful we’ve been. 

So why question mine aren’t I allowed to have a higher standard, I’ve supported this club through highs and lows for 57 years one of the biggest clubs in English football with a history of success, once you start accepting mediocre you inevitable get mediocre. 
Someone has to say it’s not good enough and demand better and that someone always falls at the feet of the supporters and if 95% of people in your estimation believe this was a successful season then I’m honestly surprised and disappointed. But as you say not worth discussing it you keep your bar low and I’ll keep mine high and you’ll get to enjoy every season and I’ll end up being disappointed. 
But let’s get one thing clear when you challenge my opinion and then ask me to challenge your opinion you are going to get a response even if you are in the gang of 95%.

nearly all will say job done and we got over the line and let's move on. imo Theres nothing to be celebrated - just relief.  4 months without a win and some truly awful football. 
we can have anger at the epl etc but the coaching and tactical side of things was poor.
we got over the line and we can be grateful that we never went down but that was an awful season for many reasons. The one solid consistent was the spirit of the fans fighting for the club. 
 
lets not start baiting people who have different expectations - it's an opinion.

I’ve always maintained that we wouldn’t go down and have always said the 3 to go down would be Sheffield, Burnley, and Luton, and the 3 that come up next season will be the same 3 that go down. But that doesn’t in any way make me feel any better we have been absolutely terrible this season, and if people believe that the mark of a good season is too avoid relegation then crack on, but for me I’ve been embarrassed at some of the football we’ve played and won’t be looking at this season or last as a success.

Even if the Premier League had taken the 17 points from us that they wanted to we still wouldn't be in the relegation zone today.
Just think about that.

One of my favourite players of the last decade for Everton. So underrated.
I’ve always said he will be one of those players we miss when he is gone or not playing. This season has been a prime example.
One of our calmest players.
One of our best passers of the ball.  
Our best tackler. 
Best interceptor. 
Best shot…… one sec…. Delete, delete!
And as I see it… if Palfy endorses a player, he must be good.

Dissenting players? - I think when the likes of Tarkowski takes you aside to tell you to apologise - when the likes of Coleman speak out questioning why he's been stated as not being fit when he actually is then you don't have the ability to send players to the under 21s.
In short Matt he backed himself into a corner. Whats he gonna do? The fans were at breaking point with him and he knew it.   
I will be the first to call at players for not giving a shit - I believe these players do care and wanted to do well. 
The shit passing can absolutely be pointed at dyche and his staff. These players are poor on the ball not because they can't play - cos they are detrained. 
I don't know what the next 6 months will bring - if we are with Dyche then expect to see Westwood come in on a free and his type of player.  If we get money and the ability to invest in the sales of Onana etc then I want a new manager.

I just got out of the bath all by myself (I have an electronic seat fitted, no humans have been damaged by witnessing the process).
First time since February last year! Amazing what a derby win will do for you

He was most definitely on it today a huge game from him and Gomes in midfield, we even managed to play possession football because of their control and passing. 

If you score a hole-in-one albatross on a 400-yard par 4 dog-leg tomorrow, the story you will tell 20 years from now will still be how you missed the famous 2024 Goodison derby.

Personally I wouldn’t risk him for the Liverpool game or Brentford if still not fully fit, I’d concentrate on getting him right for the Luton and Sheffield games beat these two teams and we will be safe, time to play and plan for survival and not risk players who could breakdown against teams that we aren’t realistically going to win against Liverpool being one. 

I’m more pleased we are on the same page, I’ve always said that I couldn’t believe others were waiting in the wings for 777 to fall flat on their faces and then step in. 
To be honest at this moment in time I don’t care where the buyers come from should others come into replace 777, I just want someone to come in and stabilise us financially and if they want to sell us 2 years down the line for a quick profit too the right people I’m happy with that. 

I’m going to miss this one I’ll be sat on a plane heading to Malaga with 6 Arsenal fans and 1 Chelsea fan for a weeks golf ⛳️ in Marbella.
Of all the games to have to miss gutted 😞 but I’m sure I’ll get over it by Thursday morning 🌅 when I’m teeing off at The Marbella Club at 8:30am. 🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷😎
