Oh sorry have I miss read that there is an undercurrent that dcls criticism is based on biggoted opinions?
I’m offended that he is known more for his off field pursuits than his on field pursuits this season. I’m offended that he has literally offered us fuck all when he’s on the pitch and when the rumour mill has produced unwarranted moves to supposed bigger clubs he has said fuck all to silence them. But he is happy to be quoted that he likes to be controversial.
he’s an absolute weapon who has got very high on himself since his England cap. 
We have fans looking at all permutations of how other teams playing xyz could help us stay up, or that certain players being injured may help us….. because one thing we can’t rely on is a supposed England striker being arsed to do his bit.   That’s what offends me, fair enough? 
 
and for the record baines going to gigs or Howard going to the states didn’t arse me in the slightest, nor did gana gueye wanting his move to PSG…. but Rodriguez taking photos of himself on a private jet, Lukaku walking round his final appearance at goodison texting Chelsea mates, did piss me off.  Any idea why? 
 
Simply put, some pros give everything whilst wearing the shirt and can’t be questioned. Others can, and do.  It’s not very difficult to spot a player who doesn’t give a shit, some of us are able to ignore their supposed status in the game and judge them as employees of the club. 

I would love nothing more than Calvert lewin to come into the side and score the winner in every remaining game and see us survive. 
however like a few other players I would be clearing out his locker the minute the season is over. 
 
there are players who should never pay for this club again and finch farm needs to be rid of their stinking attitudes otherwise next season promises to be the same as this.

He’s definitely risen to the challenge I’m so impressed with his work rate and ability, plus he doesn’t panic show his nerves or hide. If Brands or who ever was responsible for bringing him to the club it’s a massive thank you from me.  

My brother worked for BA, along with long spells "leant" to Airbus, for decades; he got to the Singapore GP one year when he was living/working there.
He had a brilliant career that took him all over the world, but turned on an incedible stoke of luck. He was living in Guildford (with two o-levels to his name) in a pretty much dead end job in his early twenties, but then had some mental health problems that led to him moving in with my parents in Somerset. After he got some help he took a job through an agency as a grunt in the stores department of BA in Filton; then one lunch break he was sat down and he was reading the Guardian, big boss walks through, sees what he's reading and says, "I think we can find something better for you to do.." and it went from there. Crazy fall of the cards.
Other twist was that he met his wife there, they both worked in the Brabazon hangar, named after John Moore-Brabazon, early aviator....and the man who gave the eulogy at my great grandfather's funeral.

Missing a doggy bag

Absolutely right, but I think we seem to be performing better under pressure atm, might be a good thing.

I have to admire Mykolenko. He's 22, moves to England to play in one of the hardest leagues around, replaces an established team and fan 'favourite' at a club that is fighting to hold on to their Premier League status, then his Country (where I'm guessing he still has family and friends) is invaded and becomes involved in a war with Russia.
The levels of mixed emotion, pressure, and anxiety must be mind blowing for him, yet he's still able focus and put in performances like the one against Chelsea. Unbelievably strong character.

Just spotted something on the internet sport.  Scarborough promoted to National League North.  This brought back a memory.
I remember playing against Scarborough in the Yorkshire League (1960's) when I played for Ossett Town. Scarborough always got a good crowd, (2 - 3,000) lovely ground, unlike say, South Kirby Colliery who got 3 men and two whippets! At this time, Scarbs were near the top of the league and we were lower mid-table.  I was centre-half and in the second-half their centre forward had a break away. I was struggling a yard or so behind. He got into the penalty area but decided to have one more touch, over hit it and it went out for a goal kick. I carried on running to get the ball for a goal kick.  A voice in the crowd shouted 'you big fairy'.  I shouted back 'yes, but we are 4 - 0 up'.  The same voice shouted 'not talking to you, talking to our centre-forward.  there was a pause and then a different voice shouted 'I can see why you thought he was talking about you though'.  Collapse of kop behind the goal plus me and all our defence!

I’m gutted he missed that chance because it gave Rom 10 points 😁 but to be honest I’m happy he missed it I can’t help thinking if he slotted it would we have taken our foot off the gas and let them back in, and then not be able to get the intensity back up and possibly walk of with a draw. More than happy with the win and Mykolenko’s defensive and offensive work another solid game for the young man against one of the top teams in the league.

He might not always play well, but you know that he will not go down without a fight. He’ll give his all. 

It's often commented on that he's a weak captain for us on the pitch, but I thought he was outstanding in that regard yesterday. He was getting in people's faces, arguing, talking to the ref, cajoling our players.
And, he coupled that with a brilliant performance as well.

I don’t think he’s a very good footballer at all.  I never have.   I have said what makes him different is that he is a tremendous athlete and if he worked on being mechanical he would be a top player.
 
if he stayed humble and continued to work the way he did when he was lukakus replacement he would be fine. But he didn’t, he got a flurry of goals that Stuart Barlow would struggle to miss under a set up where ancelotti basically made him a goal hanger… then he started giving it the “name pointing at his shirt”… became a big I am.  Turned up on Monday night footy to give punditry on his own club?!
Not arsed about him, he’s not arsed about us. 

I thought Rondon did a good enough job when he came on for us, closing Chelsea players down and forcing errors.
 

If you listen carefully you can just here some shout out excuse me Mr Richarlison could I have my flare back please, and being the honest man he is he returned it. Can you imagine what would have happened if he didn’t the FA would be charging him with theft of a flare. 

This has all the hallmarks of the Digne saga, if you don’t give your all for the team and you think you are better then you can sit on the bench before you pack your handbags and go.  

He got very animated and jumped out of his seat when Coleman and Azpiliqueta were pushing - Tom Davies said “there’s handbags going on over there”
