I thought I made that very clear in my first post you responded to do I need to repeat myself, DCL isn’t doing what he’s doing as interest like playing golf, tennis, collecting stamps, or buying antiques ect, he is forging a career in my opinion when he should be solely concentrating on the one he has here, and if he did that who knows he maybe better than he currently is. 

Golf clubs that are worth going to promote a dress code as part of the etiquette of the game and the club house, and you know what he works there’s nothing wrong with setting boundaries when it protects the image and integrity of something that benefit's from good standards. 

I wouldn't, not because of any potential hostility but because I wouldn't want to be laughed at.

Got a good couple of days coming up this week, Tuesday an old mate from London is coming down on his Harley Davidson, and my brother is joining us for a night in my old local (not been there since my wife died because it was "our" local, so looking forward to facing that down). We all have rooms booked there for the night so it'll probably get a bit messy.
Then Wednesday doing a "road trip" on the Harley up to Cheddar Gorge, as I have pretty much zero social life I'm a bit excited

I think it is a lot easier playing that type of role from the bench than it is starting too.

Not a nice thing to have to hear from you mate, but I feel from your post a sense of acceptance and positivity about your situation, which I find powerful John and hopefully that attitude will take you well into your nineties mate.
