Used to love an espresso or a Greek coffee; not had one since 2013 though, can't manage any hot drink at all.

That sums up our club the owners, directors, players, and managers, have let the only consistent and good thing down which is the supporters.Ā

Like in cricket and tennis. Ā Iā€™ve always maintained that VAR would be a problem and have always favoured on field refereeing decisions to stand, VAR has got things right and as also got things wrong, but my big problem is VAR is inconsistent when it comes to reviewing incidents which has made it not an even playing field. I would get rid of it instead they try to improve it but how do you improve something that is always going to rely on human input.Ā

Iā€™ve wondered how this would work in football before. In the NFL you get three challenges/game and lose a timeout if youā€™re wrong. Not sure what the penalty could be in the EPL scenario.Ā
    Ā
Iā€™m not exactly crazy about play reviews in football, but the EPL is really screwing up VAR. Like comically bad and obviously corrupt.Ā

But itā€™s no different to road rageā€¦.. they are protected by a shell (room in wherever it is) and their brain will make decisions that they otherwise would not do if faced with an immediate feedback.Ā
    Ā
it wouldnā€™t take a great deal of work to automate var. var flags up an incident, the ref reviews.Ā
    Ā
there should also be a challenge system in place where if var isnā€™t reviewing something the manager can instigate it. 2 per game.Ā

We need to win one of our away games with our GD we may need 39 points if itā€™s us or Burnley for 17th, but every game that goes by where we donā€™t get points means we are running out of time to bridge the gap, to base our future on Watford, Palace, and Brentford as the only must win games is relegation thinking, all our games must be viewed as must win games and it has to start Sunday with Chelsea if we lose that and Burnley win thatā€™s us done maybe not mathematically but definitely mentally.Ā

Lampard has had long enough to change mentality and tactics and find away to win but we havenā€™t seen that, amazingly Burnley sack their manager immediate improvement like light and day, Leeds sack their manager again immediate improvement, we sack our manager and no improvement in 12 league games, itā€™s ridiculous to blame Rafa for whatā€™s happening now thatā€™s burying your head in sand and not accepting the reality that Lampard hasnā€™t done what he was brought here to do. Not wrong to sack Rafa poor decision to give the job to a manager with very little experience and none in what fighting a relegation battle takes, but thatā€™s the fault of Moshiri who obviously thought we have 18 games left we are 4 or 5 points clear of a relegation spot, he took a gamble and he lost and supporters are giving him away out by blaming Rafa, never heard so much bollocks in my life, stop being a victim and face the fact Lampard wasnā€™t the man for where we were. And Moshiri is a complete disaster for this club.Ā

Iā€™m getting a bit pissed off now with people trying to say Iā€™m defending Rafa, what Iā€™m saying is Lampard hasnā€™t improved us as in our position itā€™s got worse, unfortunately not my fault look at the league table itā€™s a fact, whether we look better or the players are happier means jack shit if that doesnā€™t transpire into wins and points, and I would disagree with the players looking happier, DCL, Richarlison, Doucoure, Allan, Keane, Pickford, all look miserable as fuck, I havenā€™t seen many playing with a smile on there face for a long time. We arenā€™t playing like a team thatā€™s improved we are playing with fear and lack of confidence, fear in our defending and lack of confidence in our attempts at goal. If people are still happy to be relegated because Lampardā€™s better than Rafa then crack on, but Iā€™m not happy Rafa was sacked to bring in a manager who would turn our season round, but it hasnā€™t worked and not saying we shouldnā€™t have sacked Rafa, Iā€™m saying we shouldnā€™t have given the job to Lampard in the situation we were in his lack of experience meant the job was above his ability and experience, I said it when he was given the job and sadly itā€™s looking that way.Ā

An average of someoneā€™s performance isnā€™t small sections of their total itā€™s from the beginning till the end, if Lampard carries on at his rate we will be down, he was 3-4 points away from a relegation spot with 2-3 games in hand and better goal difference than the 3 teamā€™s in the relegation spot, now we are in a relegation spot 2 points from safety with one game in hand and a poorer GD now than Burnley that means in reality we are 3 points behind them from safety, that isnā€™t an improvement no matter how you try to dress it up. Heā€™s got 6 games to improve his stats,10 points from a possible 36 is still relegation form over a season so no improvement, and definitely not the improvement many believed would happen. Not either managers fault we have poor strikerā€™s and even poorer central defenders not down to them, Rafa lost his job no problem with that no one will ever know if he stayed what would have happened so not even worth getting into that argument, Lampard comes in and we have lost ground on the teamā€™s around us instead of improving our position in the league it has deteriorated that can not be classed as an improvement.Ā

    From the Athletic:
Given the disparity in quality between the two local rivals, perhaps they would have done so anyway even if the 27-year-old had played. Yet the numbers are stark, both in terms of Minaā€™s availability (or lack of it) and the sideā€™s upturn in fortunes when he does play.
This season, Everton have taken an average of just 0.7 points from the 21 league games Mina has missed. Extrapolate that across a full season and they would end up with 27 points from 38 matches.
In the 11 games he has played, their win percentage is 36 (up from 19 without him) and they average 1.4 points per game. Over a whole season, that would give them more than 50 points.
The numbers were even more extreme for 2020-21 when a 58.3 per cent win ratio with Mina in the team dropped to 21.4 per cent in his absence.

Personally I'm thinking it'll be one of the remaining women who wins; the young anglo/Indian girl hasn't put a foot wrong, and the Scottish lass Sarah I have a serious crush on, so don't want her gonešŸ˜‚
And four of the final six are women as well, that must be a first.
