  1. I thought most laid the blame at FSW for putting us in danger, ( and injuries ) not the squad
  2. Ah, but is that his good or bad one ?…….
  3. Pickford came from a delegated team, Ramsdale also to Arsenal, a team gets relegated not individual players, the skill is picking the diamonds, the two I’ve mentioned fall in to that catagory.
  4. Bloody hell that’s some salary, I joined CBS aim 82 on £7500 a huge increase from my previous reps job with Cadbury’s at £3000, my parents bought their first house in Dec 66 for £6600, new build 3 bed semi, CH, Built in kitchen, 2 toilets! That waS a big jump for them, we had spent the previous 4 years living in 3 bed flat above the hairdressers my mum had, 6 of us, lounge and kitchen downstairs behind the salon, I have a hatred of the smell of hairspray and perm solution. I knew Martyn Barker from school days which was the drummer in Shriekback, last saw him in 97.
  5. I like to use of the word alleged, it’s quite well documented that there were shit loads of fans on the pitch. As for the violence it was always going to be charged, need to see if the FA treat others in the same way now.
  6. Yes I used to deal with Geoff most of the time, if he was away PB stood in. Really liked Geoff, found him very straightforward and easy to deal with. Paul Rutherford from Frankie was working in there around that time also. I saw Bill Nelson at Pacific Road in Birkenhead a few years ago, thinking he would play the best of his long catalogue, nope not one song I knew was played. FWIW there’s a really good concert on YouTube he did a few years ago, there’s more clips also.
  7. Anyhow, Broja, we have to accept if players don’t want to come to the NW and prefer London, a drive down Regent Rd to see Bramley Moore wouldn’t impress many atm.
  8. I’m about the same as you, always loved my music, DeBop Deluxe, Nils Lofgren up to 76, then bam along came punk, liked the music but never had the bottle to do the safety pin stuff. Went to Eric’s many times, then over on to new wave, Costello, Squeeze, XTC, early Talking Heads etc. At 22 I got a sales rep job with CBS, covering Merseyside and N Wales, I thought it would be cool, it was in many aspects, not so much trying to sell the Nolan’s or Goombay Dance Band into Probe, Pete Burns worked there at the time, he always tired to intimidate customers and reps, on one visit he was in fine form calling almost every new release I presented shite, so as I was going through the albums I half pulled a cover out, then put it back in my bag saying he wouldn’t want it and moved on to the next, he kept asking what it was that I had put back, I eventually pulled it out, Joan Jetts 2nd album, “ oh I’ll have 10 of that she’s OK” he said. A small win in the life of a sales rep. There was a sales incentive on that album, I won by 5 sales, and got a very nice Sony Sports Walkman ( yellow waterproof one ) Its was a strange industry, so much money thrown at promoting groups by all the labels to get radio play and on TOTP, lots of good stuff groups never made it, and lots of crap did, cos it sold and made loads of money for the labels.
  9. He might be free, but in my book he owes us £15m ish for dicking about and not going 6 months earlier, so on a free and no wages until the books are balanced is the way to go
  10. I only hope it’s not us that pays that
  11. Assuming he stays, he needs to step up and really lead the line this season with Richys departure, and we need to give him the ammunition, he’s one of the best in the air in the PL, get those crosses in we will see goals.
  12. We’ve got enough of those already, primarily Gordon and Gray, if they could pass and cross better DCL would have a field day, and that’s what we need to see this season.
  13. I’m going to miss him, he brought a lot to the team, especially in this last closing of the campaign, without him I think we would have dropped. I understand his ambition to play for a better team and in Europe, I’m not sure he has chosen the right team though, time will tell of course. It still seems that he’s been sold cheap for Brazil’s no 9, even if it is Spurs biggest fee paid for a PL player, would they sell Kane for same amount ?
  14. And Richy at £50m, proven over 4 season in the PL, Brazil’s no 9 and he’s valued at £10m over Gordon who’s had 1 decent season and is still very much learning his trade, it’s a joke how Spurs operate. Anyhow, I want both to stay end of.
  15. I’m half way there, will that do? Everton supporter that is
  16. I’m being very picky, I want to be on centre line in west stand with a bit of wind protection, it’s going to be feckin cold on the Mersey in winter, a bit of protection from the wind will be nice. If your not sure what I mean, walk down Old Hall St any day of the year and you’ll get an idea of what I’m on about.
  17. Having seen the layout for the searing areas, I’m disappointed there aren’t any general seats in the middle of the west stand, I like sitting high up and near centre line. All the seats seem to be hospitality stuff, which could be a big mistake with no ST holders in an area of the ground to make some noise.
  18. This is just so Everton, 90+% of players were linked with we all say fook no way, the rest we never believe we’re going to get. On this one is fook no way.
  19. I know, I was just expressing my preference
  20. I’d rather Cucurella, Ive been really impressed with him so far.
  21. This would be good for both the club and player, please make it happen. His first half performance against Palace was just awful, way off the pace and total lack of fight.
  22. Drove past that area a couple of weeks ago on the way to airport, made me shudder at the thought of the ground going there
  23. Other than the towering headers he scores from corners and set pieces
