  1. I get a home shirt each season as (very naively) I think it's my way of putting money into the club, plus it allows me to be a little kid again excited for it to turn up. At the age of 28 I'm already getting a bit fed up of it though, paying £55 for what is essentially a similar design to the season before, of course excluding certain bangers like the blue/navy home shirt we had a few seasons back. No way I'm paying £65 for a shirt, especially when lately each effort has been 7/10 at best.
  2. Sounds too much like Rondon, it's a no from me.
  3. It's going to sound like I'm being extremely bitter but I'm a little frustrated that he's going to Spurs of all places. There was talk of Barcelona a year or so ago, and Chelsea were sniffing yet he's going down London to play for a club who've won... nothing? It's all ifs, buts and maybe's but I wouldn't be surprised to see Conte leave Tottenham this season and they're going to be nowhere near a league title (whereas Chelsea may be). Just feels like a bit of a wasted opportunity for him. Of course I'm not being naive, they're going to be higher in the league than us, but it does feel like he's moving from 1 to 2 as opposing to jumping right up to 11. As much as I love Richie once he's gone, he's gone. Although I do agree that sitting on the fringes of Spurs will hinder his World Cup hopes and given that they've got Son and Kane in the front 3 (meaning realistically there's only one spot up for grabs) it's not as out of this world as it appears on face value. All it takes is Lucas Moura to find form, who funnily enough will be gunning for a spot in the Brazil squad himself - my hope was that he would choose Chelsea, or the likes of PSG/Madrid/Barcelona came with a serious package.
  4. There are other interested parties, from what I read there's another consortium from the United States and one from Saudi Arabia however they aren't negotiating as the Kenyon Group have exclusivity to look at Everton's books and hold meetings with Moshiri - nobody else will be at the table for now and to be honest with how it's being reported I'll be very surprised if Kenyon doesn't end up going through with it. It's building serious momentum each day on social media and in the press. Little disappointing that considering the Saudi's are sniffing, the Newcastle owners didn't come quicker to the table - having the backing of an entire state would have come in handy as Newcastle are now finding out with their transfer business.
  5. Not really followed him at Juventus, but his attitude was awful at PSG which makes me hesitant of this being a good move for us, doesn't come across to me as the character we'd want to attract to Everton. Ligue 1 and Serie A aren't exactly the strongest of leagues for someone wanting to transition into the Premier League either.
  6. When Gordon was linked with Bayern I'm pretty sure he made a direct quote saying that leaving Everton terrifies him and that he's planning on being here for a long time (potentially the duration of his career). I think in order to get him out of the door, he'll need to be forced and I just can't see that happening - and if it does, riots should commence. Richarlison will go, with my blessing but I'd be stunned if Anthony followed him.
  7. I'll be honest I'm not over the moon with it, but other than the stadium I think Moshiri has been unbelievably consistent in making bad decisions and in the long run will do more damage to the club than good, as the short term has unfortunately proved. The fact we have gone from consistently flirting with Europe to being quite literally on the brink of Championship football is astounding, and a lot of the problems stem from Moshiri's poor management of the club. Whereas he's not as bad as the owners of Portsmouth, Blackburn, Blackpool, Charlton etc. I'm warm to the idea of change and just hoping that it's not somehow another absolute clusterfuck.
  8. The new sponsor already having an effect - get rid!
  9. So does Burger King, but I believe that people wouldn't be up in arms about a fast food chain sponsoring the club.
  10. Are you seriously comparing a gambling company with the NRA . Not sure what the Trump Hotel brand is getting attacked for either, look like lovely places to sleep from what I've seen.
  11. For £10m a year, I couldn't give a shite who sponsors us. I suppose these 20,000 fans will be the same fans up in arms that we don't have funds to sign anyone - just people looking to be offended by everything and pretend to be up in arms in the name of the "club they love".
  12. Yeah, my understanding was that they were pushing it through ASAP but would only come into effect in 2-3 years.
  13. I assume you was the fly on the wall yeah?
  14. I'm happy with Chelsea at home, hopefully flares and the like carrying on what we've seen at the back end of this season, make the place a bear pit. 3-0 Everton, Peter Kenyon whizzed his top off in the Directors box and swings it around whilst screaming Spirit of the Blues, Thomas Tuchel resigns on the spot in his press conference as he says the pressure of Goodison away games is too much, rest of the league forfeit their games 3-0 due to pure fear and we're handed the title in December.
  15. Won't get in over Mykolenko and with the clearout that's needed I'm not getting excited over second fiddles. Can't see this happening, especially for what Porto would demand.
  16. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Moshiri is looking to sell, he must be really regretting his investment in us, especially as Usmanov has been forced to sit on the sidelines now. I'm too young to remember in great depth what Kenyon did or didn't do with United and/or Chelsea. But US consortiums in general don't fill me with confidence, though on the flip side the chances of us getting a billionaire with a middle name "Dixie", born in L4 is 1,000,000/1.
  17. Fantastic business, fail to get the best player in the Portuguese League (Luis Diaz) but go back in for Otavio. Fucking hell, utter clusterfuck. If we're going at Porto, would rather we signed Vitinha or Fabio Viera but they too will cost a pretty penny.
  18. I don't want André Gomes to leave, but that's probably because he's has the sexiest hair I've ever seen on an Everton player, as opposed to the fact that he's a machine in midfield. He was great on loan, great when he signed permenantly but wasn't the same after his leg break (come at me @Hafnia). Agree with most that it's time to say our goodbyes though, he would do well back at Benfica - doubt he would go to Porto.
  19. Don't want to sound all Football Manager here, but this really fucks me off. We'll no doubt spunk some money up the wall for Harry Winks because he's pReMieR leAguE prOvEn but won't spend a fraction of that to get the next best thing. Scouting in England in general is absolutely diabolical, we should absolutely be taking a leaf out of continental teams books, but general stubbornness suggest we (and others) won't.
  20. Hull City with the clown emoji as if they aren't one of the most tinpot, laughable clubs out there. We might have only put £2.5 million up front, but we'll get him because we're an established Premier League club and they sing about being mauled by tigers on an away day. Gimps.
  21. My first job was working in the Co-Operative and it was crazy how much cigarettes cost back then, especially when you'd have regular people buying them each day (sometimes more) so spending an absolute fortune. That was perhaps 2011/2012, so I can only imagine how much they cost now with inflation.
