Southgate won't get sacked, but I think he will walk after the World Cup regardless of what happens. I think Lampard would definitely be in the running, and he would go for the job if selected I'm sure but I think the FA will probably go for someone overseas this time around. The nation has been crying out for an attacking minded manager and I think they'll have that on their mind when selecting the next candidate. The amount of English managers isn't exactly a fantastic crop at the moment and I just don't see who would fill the vacancy that would do anything of note - the only one that I'd be happy with would be Graham Potter but there's no way he's leaving Chelsea early. The women's game sadly seems too stubborn to do something like that. As the father of a daughter myself I'd love nothing more than the women's game to improve but when you've got goalkeepers struggling to hit the halfway line alongside some truly awful goals being scored it's hard to remain engaged. I've tried several times to get into Women's football and just can't. Smaller pitches and smaller goals would improve the standard quite a lot to be honest, but it won't happen.

I wanted Southgate at the start due to his work in the U21's and think he deserves to go to the World Cup based off previous tournaments but even I'm starting to question him a little. The painfully negative football with what is a golden attacking generation is absolutely madness, as is sticking with favourites such as Harry Maguire when they're so obviously fucking dogshit.
