  1. The wife loves The Witcher, but it's a series that I've watched twice and haven't got a real clue what's going on. I get the basics of Geralt, but just got totally lost trying to follow it. A lot of people I know love it, so think that it's just one of those things that goes over my head .
  2. This is childish behaviour that I can get behind, Amazon have had to disable reviews because there are so many coming through .
  3. Benitez's best mate at it again. Made me genuinely angry reading such a misinformed, arrogant tweet.
  4. Yeah it's breaking all over Twitter, kinda get the vibe that there is something going on. A few sources saying that a few stumbling blocks between ourselves and Rangers have been removed, so we're close to getting him signed.
  5. Please tell me that's a wind up. Edit: If not, this time last season under Ancelotti we had scored 38 goals, under Benitez we currently have 23 - a decrease of 15.
  6. The poor lad must be wondering what he's walked into. Would genuinely rather stay playing for Dynamo Kiev then pull on a blue shirt alongside the likes of Mason Holgate and Michael Keane.
  7. Anyone who thinks that we're not in a relegation battle is delusional, I genuinely think that the only side we put away on current for is Norwich which leaves us basically 19th in the form table. Newcastle will massively improve after January due to their resources, so they won't go down. Burnley are probably in deep trouble, but have the tenacity and experience to get out of it. For me, the only team pretty nailed on to go down is Norwich. 18th and 19th are up for grabs.
  8. Only Gordon and Gray looked like they gave a shite, Anthony getting my MOTM as he scored a brace to keep things from getting embarrassing. I was actually convinced that Benitez was going to take him off to be honest, he seems to have a knack of taking off Gordon whenever he looks like doing something.
  9. Basically, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum translates to "It'll be sound, stick with the manager because there's three worse teams than us?". Newcastle, Burnley and Watford would play us off the park at the moment, in fact the latter did.
  10. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. Turning up in the freezing cold and pissing down rain to see us get completely dominated by whoever we're playing on the day. The formation, tactics, attitude, desire were all absolutely fucking abysmal, as it has been for most of this season. Only Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon looked like they gave a shit and the only two that looked like they weren't playing in a League Two side. We are so appalling it's actually becoming comical. If you don't laugh you cry, but it's getting to the point where I'm beyond numb to the situation and am just actively against anything Everton have to offer at the moment. I keep thinking to myself how far we are from the teams that Moyes put out, we've gone from players who would die for the shirt to football players who are simply employed by Everton Football Club. Benitez isn't going anywhere soon, but that's just a reminder of the incompetence of an owner that either doesn't give a shit, is completely clueless at running a football business, or both.
  11. I think most (if not all) of our January business will have been influenced by Marcel Brands, he would have been working day to day on this subject and his work wouldn't simply be tossed into the bin regardless of what the manager/chairman/board thought about his performance. Agree that this move was perhaps escalated due to the immanent departure of Lucas Digne.
  12. Richarlison didn't claim to grow up loving and supporting Watford. Nor did Doucoure or Allan with Napoli.
  13. Jelavic was sensational when he first signed for us, he was honestly unplayable in those first six months where everything he touched (literally) found the back of the net. He admitted himself that he skipped training a few times that summer and when the next season started he was already off the pace - never really got it back and ended up at Hull and then in the lower leagues of the Chinese League. In regards to Tosun, he would have been OK as a third choice but never good enough to be first (or second) choice IMO, though his horrendous injury won't have helped matters. I don't begrudge him sitting on his wage either, anyone in his shoes would do the same.
  14. Ding ding ding we have a fucking winner.
  15. Before my time, but don't recall any of those players faking injury for a few months so that they could take money off the club they supposedly supported, and the club that had given them a career in the first place.
  16. Hahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha Barkley re-signing would be another massive nail in the coffin for me. Shouldn't be allowed to purchase Everton mints again nevermind set foot back in the stadium. His departure is one of the biggest betrayals I've seen and should never be forgotten, nor forgiven. Fuck him.
  17. I watched Newcastle play against United and thought that they were brilliant, was quite worried about playing them to be honest as they way they moved the ball would have torn right through us. I suppose the rearranged fixture could be with them fielding better players, due to their billions but I'm happy with this - especially considering the injuries/fatigue in our camp.
  18. Merry Christmas to all on ToffeeTalk! Lovely little place this, long may it continue.
  19. Unbelievable (but not surprising) that we couldn't call off our game, yet Manchester City could last year because the tea lady and club mascot came down with symptoms. The corruption in the Premier League (and throughout football) has been evident for years and only keeps reappearing with each season that goes by.
  20. I'm just holding out that this is some elaborate plan to move Digne to left wing as opposed to left back, his attacking talent is there for all to see and backed up with stats, it's the defensive part of his game where questions are asked. Given how the last few weeks have planned out though I think he's off. Everyone is saying Chelsea but they have Chilwell? Perhaps a move to City so that they can move João Cancelo back to right-back? Who knows. Could even be Newcastle come to think of it.
