Well, this was locked in my GIF archive for a long time. Good time to set it free now.

Allardyce influence? Must've been devastating for a player with his history to find himself playing under the neanderthal.

I'm not sure there is one thing really, but I'd guess it's a couple different things.
Klinsmann did a good job reaching out dual-citizenship kids, especially those in Germany who father's were US Servicemen. Most of them were young, already playing in Europe, and uncapped. We just need some Army bases in Brazil now...
I think there are more kids now who have smarter parents that played the sport themselves at higher levels and realize that the US system has flaws in development. In America we seem to place a premium on raw athleticism - size, speed, strength etc, at the expense of technical skill. It "works" in basketball and US football. Not so much in footy, and parents that are wiser and understand high-level soccer also understand the domestic training is still a ways behind on the technical side.
I also think that the success of several of the current young crop coming into the USMNT has opened the eyes of both high-level/elite kids as well as their parents to the opportunities available in Europe for proper coaching and development. I think it's also made European scouts look more at American teenagers. Success breeds success so to speak. And right now, there seems to be a lot of young raw US talent heading to Germany.
I'd like to think our "soccer" IQ is growing, Maybe one day in the not way way off future, we will be able to domestically develop world-class players. But currently, our system will continue to produce great athletes, because that's what we do. But to produce great footballers, we need those teenagers to be in European academies and systems as soon as possible, and that's exactly where most of our bright young stars are.

He was awarded Man of the Match against Bolivia (albeit a weak side), so signs are positive thus far.

It's no longer like that -- not sure when they changed it exactly, but it's been awhile since it was like that.
Re: Freddy Adu -- I still can't believe how spectacularly he has fallen. He's now plying his trade with the Las Vegas Lights in the USL (second division), but last time I checked he hadn't played any minutes yet.

Kopites are the real class, not sure if they are "human" or a kind of a new life form, android etc...

He's the kind of manager that, if he left tomorrow, no one in Belgium would probably notice  He's a bit of a boring type. That and there's this weird situation with him almost never calling up Radja Nainggolan, a really good defensive midfielder from AS Roma and his explenation is always "Doesn't fit in the tactical plans", which is quite obviously not the real reason. Turns out Nainggolan put a vague statement on his Twitter that it had to do with his (edit: his=Nainggolans) personality.

Good appraisal we did see in a couple of games before Gylfi's injury that they were forming a good understanding with each other, I'd like to see Lookman, Gylfi and Walcott with Tosun.

I think he is way better striker than Niasse but of course, both has different strengths and weaknesses.
Cenk is well-known for his finishing skills. (Not only in Turkish League but in Champions League for the last 2 years.) He can use both feet and good at headers. He was a strong striker in Turkish League but needs to work more for EPL as defenders in EPL are stronger than Turkish League. I think a proper pre-season will do good for him. He can't adapt Allardyce style of football as we've all seen, not a sprinter. In that case, Niasse is more suitable but Cenk can be way better in a team which is able to organise its attacking movements. He used to do link-up plays with Babel (AML) - Quaresma (AMR) and Oguzhan Ozyakup (MC-AMC) at Besiktas and it boosted his skills. That's what made him a proper Champion's League striker. I am pretty sure he can do the same with Siggy - Walcott and a proper left wing at Everton as well.
    For example, today we were discussing his performance at Everton with the friends and what we thought, if he was playing at Chelsea he would have buried all the sitters that Morata wasted. The conversation was running over this video;
I think with a proper manager, he'll be good enough for now. I don't think his confidence is superb at the moment because he tried to adapt himself to Sam's goof-ball tactic and couldn't make the impact he desired. I can tell, he was trying to be optimistic since the last game of the season but if you guys can recall his reacting after the substitution, that shows it all. He lost confidence and was angry at himself, which is good. Because he is always up to challenges. He proved himself as a 2nd striker behind Demba Ba, Mario Gomez and Vincent Aboubakar and earned his place as a starter. All in all, he is a typical advanced forward and Niasse is more Poacher/Target Man kind of striker.
Well, I don't think he is the striker that can take Everton to the next level. He is not skilled enough to carry Everton for a top 4 challenge but a good striker to aim for the top half. If there is a better striker, of course, Everton can sign him. It'll be a new challenge for him and motivate him to do better as a 2nd striker.

    Fellow Blues,

My name is Austin, and I have quite the story on becoming an Everton Fan. Born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (USA), and was always into American Football, hockey, and amateur wrestling (was decent enough to compete in college at a high NCAA level).

After college, I moved to Chicago, Illinois where I met an Everton supporter at a bar by chance (not shockingly, he was drinking beer watching Saturday morning Premier League football muttering to himself). Heard his accent and asked the 'best way to get into the beautiful game as an American'. His advice was to "pick a team, support them, and soon I would gain a vested interest in their success and pageantry.

He surely wasn't wrong; so we more or less decided that we would support each other's favorite teams. So he became a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan, and I became an Everton supporter. Last season was my first full season as a fan, and I must say it was awesome. It really was fantastic to be able to get up Saturday morning and try to continue to learn more and more about the game. Understanding and beginning to learn the nuances of Premier League football (fuck the Koppites), was quite an experience.

I now have both of this year's kits, just the tops; I've been told if I ever wear the shorts and the jersey I would be quite the wanker. But just wanted to reach out to all and say the Blues have a life-long supporter in Maryland United States!

    Go Blues! NSNO!

    Cheers,

    Austin

We have the Russians working on that. I mean if they can rig an election across all of America, surely they can fix this shit right in their back yard?
Give us a waiver slot for being the only team in the world who has to play soccer against footballers.
Plant dead mosquitoes in their luggage  and quarantine the Costa Rica team for malaria.
Invade Croatia and pin it on Serbia.
Whatever, just make this shit happen so we don't have to have the FBI start indicting the entire governing body.  See, we're not an unreasonable lot.

Haha it was tongue in cheek mate..... in a way.
Gana gets critique due to what he doesn’t do, but no credit for what he does good as it’s his job.
Messi, Lukaku, Ronaldo, Pickford, and countless others get a free pass on what they don’t do... as that’s not their job.

Would be a mistake to let him go. There’s a reason we got much better once he got back from injury.... and it should be no suprised, but it wasn’t Sam.
people are watching him and not seeing him bomb forward, but missing the importance he has in slitting in and knitting our left together.

I think that is more Mourinho trying to deflect the critics off his teams poor performance, tactics and lack of silverware.

Yeh I know what you mean. Unless you are on the counter though, that space to cut into isnt as readily available here as it is in other countries especially when the other sides have seen the trick before. I haven't seen him play so I can only comment on what I have seen but there arent many clips where he is up against two banks of 4 in position. There can be nothing more frustrating than a winger cutting in too early and crowding the space for the central players when they should be maintaining their width (something Walcott does quite a lot). Mind you that probably shows the quality of the manager more than the player themselves!
I can only go on the videos I have seen which are never anywhere near as good as a full game. His history suggests he is the right character and he plays in an area we need further depth. It will be interesting to see how he does in the WC.

Brands should get Lozano from his soon-to-be ex-employer. Richarlison would cost a ridiculous amount, especially considering Watford are already suing us over Silva.
