Can't be bothered with the Moyes hate fest, infact for an Everton forum that includes the word 'Thinking' it's a total embarrassment.

Never come across so much hate for an ex-Everton associate as one member on here as for Moyes!

The history of this club includes the names of many managers, some have won trophies some haven't, some were here a long time othes for a relatively short amount.

Moyes would be there for a man who turned a club around, from bottom six to top six, even got us a top 4 spot.He made Everton respected again after years of dross, without much money. That's probably worth more than say a random FA or league cup win.

He bought in the bulk of the present Everton Squad and turned this club around enough for us to be able to attract a manager who turned down the rs managers job only weeks previous.....guess Martinez liked what he saw.

The man moved on for one of the biggest/hardest jobs in football and tried to take some Everton players with him, without paying what they were worth............That's what's called moving on, he works for United, what's hard to understand about that.

We will always be the 'peoples club' and I hope we thrash United on Sunday, but I'll never hate David Moyes.

If we play as we have for the last couple of games, I can't se beyond a draw, maybe 2-2.

But if Everton want to show Moyes and United an 'Arsenal' type performance backed up by 38,000 fanatic Blues, then I'd have to say it could be the same scoreline as the 'Arsenal' game.

Also wouldn't bet against a red card or two, it's going to be frantic......Rooney, Fellaini, and any Everton midfielder you care to name will not give an inch.

RS ref Clattenburg will be very busy.

At the end of the season, let's just see how far behind the Man Cities, Chelseas' etc we are! If we finish 12 points or more behind all the teams with big wallets, then maybe the only way forward is the multi-billionair route.

Lverpool have way more money than us, we've finished above them the last two seasons and but for Saurez would undoubtebly finish above them again, United, Newcastle and Southampton all have plenty of money, but I can see us finishing above them.

Let's hope for the sake of football, that Everton can prove that with an excellent manager, good youth structure, talented players willing to loan to us and passsion and pride, that we can finish above these £200,000 a week glory hunters.

Personally, I want players to come to Everton because we are a special club, not because we pay £200,000 a week. For me if Kenwright/Martinez and co can win the prem, then that would be an achievement.......if Man City win it, then to be honest they will have bought it.

Sorry but I don't want to see Everton buy a title, I want to see us win it.

Yep, buy him back for £12 million, make him look world class again........sell for £30 million.

When he fails to impress, buy him back for £12 million......well you know the rest.

best weekend of my life. my son was born (watched the game with me), and everton win 3-0. such a great effort by the lads, baines my MOTM, wonderful passing and movement of the ball up the field, he can be our english Lahm for sure! McCarthy and Barry were spot on and straight up outplayed Arteta and Flamini. Sorry to see Osman go, but happy with Barkley!

Naismith just keeps on improving, he's making good runs, he's good in the air and he scores goals.

Will he forever be a super sub, or will he be able to maitain that work rate through out the 90 mins.

As an impact player he's looking the business, he'll be at Goodison next season, but I doubt Lakaku will, has Naismith got what it takes to lead the line.

    No we didn't.

The jury is still out on Naismith.

Coleman has been a big surprise, did we really think he'd be ripping into opponents penanlty areas scoring goals and at the same time improving as a defender.surely a fantastic piece of business by Everton.

coleman, he had the winner but more importantly he was back to form bombing the flanks. he also bailed us out back a couple times as well and helped stones defensively. glad he's fit again, we really need him. so many times we go on the left baines and pienaar and teams know that. it's great when seamus is going because they had to defend both flanks then and it opens up the middle.

Funny how you didn't actually turn up here until ' the wheels fell off ' (as you put it)....you can fool some with your "Mirallas is my favorite player " and "I've been to more matches than the rest of you"(uncheckable bullshit).

Most Blues can accept that we've run out of luck with injuries, that the small squad again is the ever present problem and that we just aren't scoring goals, hence we've fallen away slightly, it's probably no more or less than most expected.

Your posts though have a different slant and I don't care " if it's not fair ", I stand by my statement, your at best a wum and almost certainly a rs wum.

But hey!....stick around, for when the wheels ' get put back on '.

Blue 250 got a reaction from Ant1979 in So where are we going to finish?
Thing is you buy a 20-25 million pound striker he will probably want £100,000 a week (min) Saurez is now over £200,000.So ok you buy him and pay him stupid money and the rest of the team all want £70,000 a week, I'm pretty sure City, Chelsea and the rs are paying most of their players this and way more in some cases.

So start buying big names or ones that very quickly become big names and we will pay stupid wages, Barkleys head will be turned in a few years time by teams who can triple his wages in one move.

You need the big money men to buy Everton if you want the top four.

It's the wages that will kill you, Rooney and Saurez in the same team would be 1/2 a million a week plus :dont know: .........liverpool wouldn't be above us without paying stupid money, simple !

Too right, it was my first match for a couple of years and was 'told' by my taxi driver to expect something different, different to what I'd seen the last time I was there........under Moyes!

To be honest, it wasn't too different, sure we had more of the ball and the we kept it on the ground more, but that was at times possible from a Moyes team. What was wrong with the odd long ball, it's exciting and yes get's the 'blood pumping'.At times it was flat and boring, West Ham probably wouldn't score, Everton probably wouldn't score.

Oh it's lovely to have 69% of the ball, but what the fuc% are we doing with it !

I wanted to punch Pienaar for diving in the penalty.......but wanted to kiss him for at least trying to find the gaps, sure he's not quite as quick as he was and yes some passes go astray, but without him and Lukaku in the team...oh and Baines we would be very ordinary.

I was so pleased with the win but dissapointed with the performance.

West Ham came with a plan, take a point, snatch three if you can, the goalkeeper wasting time on 60mins was just too sad to behold!
Stones did pretty well, infact no one had a bad game, Coleman didn't get enough of the ball for me.

Special mention for Howard......your last goal kick before half time and your first after...WTF! How much are you paid Tim, both kicks just went straight into the crowd, surely you can actually keep them on the grassy bit.

Three points against an inform West Ham was good, but the taxi driver was wrong, for me it wasn't really any better than a Moyes team, maybe a little less exciting infact.

That's a great return, but Saurez doesn't just score goals, just by being on the pitch he creates space and chances, sturridge takes full advantage.

Liverpool are very lucky to have them, you can't really estimate what they would have done without them, but had they had Naismith and Mirallas up front, you'd probably be looking mid-table.

Saurez and Sturridge up front fo us would probably have seen us top of the table.

Martinez just need to search high and low and exhaust every bit of luck owing to him to try and find players who can score (at present) like SAS.

Alex Ferguson once said if he had an inform striker in the team and another better strike came on the market, if he had the cash he would buy him.

Says it all, pretty football and possession win you plaudits........goals win you games.

I'm sorry Mr Martinez, I don't get up to too many Goodison games, but I'm up for West Ham.......please don't give me a pretty game and a defeat, I can take an odd long ball and a couple of goals.....we were even lucky against Swansea reserves. We need a good win.An ugly win with a couple of goals, we can revert to pretty the following week!
