Not been overly active recently 'cos it's been a bit tough for the last week or so, since the last chemo eight days ago to be exact.
 
Woken up this morning feeling a lot better though....happens like that apparently...days of crap and then "miraculously" you wake up one morning and get yourself back.
 
Twenty-three radiotherapy sessions down now and just the twelve to go; plus one more chemo and I'll be bouncing off the walls again .

Naismith should be given more credit when it's due. If you had watched him play in Scotland he had a central role either behind the striker or upfront. He is not and never will be a wide player. He is too limited a player to play wide. But he's done a job when asked.
 
He's shown here he can do a decent job infront of goal again. Give him a break.

Anelka could have a stinker, the new manager might make things worse, we might turn up, we only have a couple out (with good replacements).

Not going to turn this into a "cancer diary" because those want a bit more info are getting it already but I'll update briefly on occasion because of all of the kind responses.
 
Surgery last week was a success and I've had my first chemo & radiotherapy sessions in the last couple of days. Feel great, really positive, bring it on .

I've got nothing against it. TBH Blue Bill has wound me up over the past few years but really, if he had any cash would anyone be complaining about him?
 
I've got dirty kopite mates who have praised our community and charity work in the past few weeks, the kids at Goodison and the pic of Bobby leading the old dear out of her house for the Everton street party were 2 that got everyone talking.
 
I'm proud of our club, Bill is proud of our club and after listening to The Everton Podcast with Martinez the other week I have a new found respect for Mr Kenwright. There has to be something about him that successive managers keep praising!
 
Shout it from the rooftops, we are Everton FC and we are cut from a different cloth than the majority of Premier League teams these days.

At the end of the season, let's just see how far behind the Man Cities, Chelseas' etc we are! If we finish 12 points or more behind all the teams with big wallets, then maybe the only way forward is the multi-billionair route.
 
Lverpool have way more money than us, we've finished above them the last two seasons and but for Saurez would undoubtebly finish above them again, United, Newcastle and Southampton all have plenty of money, but I can see us finishing above them.
 
Let's hope for the sake of football, that Everton can prove that with an excellent manager, good youth structure, talented players willing to loan to us and passsion and pride, that we can finish above these £200,000 a week glory hunters.

We've been spoilt now with some great football and more of an insight into the mind of Martinez.
 
I would have settled for the above at the start of the sason, but to be honest now, I'd like to think if we can be lucky with injuries (and we haven't really been so far) that we can get 5th and finish above the rs and have a really good shot at the FA cup.
 
Above 5th would be great but I think another season for Martinez to build and structure the squad before we head into the champions league.Do I think we couldn't cope with 4th plus.....not sure, I just don't want things stretched too much too soon.
 
If we could be certain that a season with champions league football wouldn't invite a slip down the table due to stretched resources, then off course you would imagine it would be good for the club, but how can we be sure.
 
So what would others want for this seasons outcome...and what did they expect at the start of the season.

Hi Mike, you have a fight on your hands, you will be getting advice from all sides.My little piece of advice for what it's worth, is as your body gets weak from the treatment, work hard, VERY hard on the mind, the mind is so very important for what you are now about to undertake.
 
Be carefull what you read, even my post might be wrong for your personal journey, BUT one piece of reading I would recomend is a book....
 
The book is called "warrior pose" by Brad willis......yep I know, a friggin book, what goods that!
 
Google it, and look at it on Amazom, read the 47 customer reviews, all of them, just to get an idea about the book.

Alcaraz was a free agent so had nothing to do with Wigan, Kone we paid over the odds for so Wigan were happy and the McCarthy deal had Dave Whelan calling us all the names under the sun because he felt our offer was a disgrace so not too different than the Fellaini deal
 
Im not knocking Roberto for speaking to bigger clubs and wanting to better himself but I cant see how people canmake him out to be loyal
 
He was at Swansea 2 years before a bigger job came up at Wigan and he left
 
He was at Wigan for 4 years and spoke to 2 other clubs before finally quitting to become our manager

great point. i really love the league this year, so wide open and up for grabs. 8-9 possible teams in contention for champs league (7 for title) makes it more exciting i think. it also seems to give the smaller clubs some hope since money and "tradition" can't win it anymore.

We should have had too much for Sunderland!
