Just got home. Couldn’t help myself but spend an hour or so in the pub post game sucking up the celebration and energy. Where do I start? Was a big player in trying to take us to Kirkby... that'll go down well .

I’m a fan and I love the club. It doesn’t qualify me to be chairman though. No one is disputing he loves the club. I’d massively dispute any notion that he would step aside for someone who actually was qualified to be chairman of a football club. Moshiri might be the owner, but only because he let Bill carry on being the face of the club. It’s his train set and he won’t give it up. 
 
Well done to Bill for not wanting Rafa appointed, again, just like a fan. 
 
Aside from all of that, we’ve had 20 years of lies being told by him (not just in my opinion, actual proven lies) just to stay in power at the club. I don’t have the patience to go through them all again (Haf might fancy listing them if he gets chance). 
 
Lastly, we had six months of a divided fan base. Frank starts to bring the fan base back together over the last few months, it takes one article from Bill and the split shows itself again, only in a small way, but he’s one of the most divisive people at the club in modern times. Just keep your mouth shut and your face away from the cameras, Bill. It’s better for all involved. 

He’s earning his stripes….. if we get over the line I would say it sets him up for a strong tenure at the club.
The reason for this is that in this day and age footballers don’t respect managers unless they have done something at the club.  Lampard will be pretty much bullet proof… he will have the kudos to put the owner/chairman in their place…. He will have the respect to tell players to shape up or get out. 
 
I like the set up he’s created, I like the fact that he is confident yet humble enough to know that he has made some miscalculations with tactics. How many managers do that? 
 
im sure he has a clear view as to how he wants us to play but knows he needs the players to do this. The summer will be very interesting.

But if you took Rafas first four games as his average we could win the league. If you took his last four we would be flat bottom of the league. 
Results have improved, you just don’t want to see it. If Rafa carried on at the rate he was at we would have been down here before now, we won one game in 14. 
 
If you look at any of our previous managers their total points per game average will be better than their last ten. But it’s their last ten that got them all sacked. 
 
Under Rafa we were rotten, the team wasn’t winning games and his average is higher because of those first four games. But our form since then has by far been the worst in the league, Frank actually picked up some wins. But our poor form before that has eventually caught us up. He may do enough to keep us up, but he’s certainly doing more than Rafa was. 

I think you will find I said the same thing, that Moshiri not only had interfered with the signing of players he also chose the managers against the opinions of his DoF. For me this team is Moshiri’s team not just in ownership in everything we see, it’s the play thing of Moshiri and Usmanov to have some fun and try to make a successful team where they made all the decisions, what they have proved is that money doesn’t buy you success when you haven’t got a clue what you’re doing.

Matip treads on Gordon’s foot whilst pushing him. I can’t see any other decision being at all feasible. Also if that was the other round it would 100% be given. 

I’d say keeping up with the times as fashion comes and goes. The evidence that we didn’t use one as they’re meant to be utilised has manifested itself into the mess we have today and shows why the role exists. If it doesn’t you have to have people that the relevant football knowledge which we clearly don’t.

Dermot then goes on to say I’ve seen them given and also not given and he would fall down on the side of no penalty! 😂 I don’t want to sound like a raving conspiracy theorist but the decisions we get there have been and continue to be ludicrous.
