pete0 got a reaction from Ant1979 in Our commercial dept and new kits
Should at least get a sponsor for the kids kits separate. Surely Lego or some other company would be interested, more so if the U21 league grows and we could get them to wear it marketing it as a youth kit.

Aha just noticed, they call themselves football club. Get in.

I'm with Matt.....fuck all difference for me; if you're being complementary you call it 433 (eg Chelsea) and if you're being derogatory (Everton) you call it 451.

Although, this is brilliantly unfortunate

For the first time in my life I'm grateful to a (mostly) Tory government.
I have a useless tiny pension pot (from a short period with a company that went bust in 1994) that would earn me about £20 a month when I reach retirement age.....pointless.
But thanks to rule changes in the budget yesterday when I'm fifty five (next April) I can take it as a lump sum and do what I want with it! Going to be just short of £6,000 .

pete0 reacted to Cork Evertonian in David Moyes thread
I think Moyes was doing a good job up until the 08/09 season. We probably would have won the FA cup that year if Jagielka and Arteta were available for the final. Then things went stale over the past few seasons and i suspect that he believed his own hype. What i can never forgive Moyes for is the way he had us set up for that FA cup semi final against Liverpool a few years ago.Moyes always seemed to be afraid of Liverpool teams which is a mortal sin for any Everton manager! He did turn us around from being perennial relegation candidates to regular top half finishers in the premiership. But Joe Royle did more in his less than 3 years period in charge than anything Moyes did in a whole decade.

pete0 reacted to StevO in Kevin Sheedy
I don't see the issue of people thinking he has launched an attack on Moyes. He was asked a question publicly on twitter and he replied "correct on both counts" then when pushed a bit more he gave a bit more away. He's not logged onto twitter and just slated him unprovoked.

Good to see someone who knows what he's talking about giving validity to my views.

pete0 reacted to Bailey in David Moyes thread
It was just in case Ferdinand scores, everyone would say he was a tactical genius... or does that only apply with Heitinga?
Those Sheedy comments are hilarious!

pete0 reacted to MikeO in Difficult one this, but on balance feel the need to post it....
Getting there......just this tiredness all the time and body being out of sync with brain (body awake/brain wants to sleep or body exhauted/brain on full whack) that I need to get through; plus stomach pains from muscle strain from coughing. Oh.....and I need to learn to eat again .
Better by the day though, small steps but it's happening.

I knew this soundbite would be spouted. Patience? No, it was just abysmally slow and I was bored out of my mind for most of the game.

pete0 reacted to marcopaulo in Who should we sell?
sell mirallas? the lad is a match winner..always been a complaint that we don't have them in our side..he can win points on his own and for that reason alone the inconsistency is worth putting up with..only 26 too so hitting his prime around now

pete0 reacted to Hafnia in So where are we going to finish?
all I stated was that Martinez uses the squad and it should be applauded and Dunc turned it into a slight at Moyes.... very touchy.
How is the squad going to look anything like that of a David Moyes team? RM only took over last summer. Daft comment - but regardless he has changed the team quite dramatically in that time.

pete0 reacted to Ant1979 in Man of the Match at Arsenal in FA Cup
All this debate about Robles is pretty irrelevant because he wasn't at fault for any of the goals. And he was the defending FA cup winning keeper. If Howard gets injured he'll be playing week in week out, so wouldn't we rather have him with a few games under his belt rather than coming in cold with no understanding between him and the CB's?

pete0 reacted to Hafnia in Jack Rodwell
Good player, two good feet, excellent athlete. Could be a great signing.

pete0 reacted to StevO in So where are we going to finish?
I'd be made up with 5th, to be honest, I don't think 4th is completely gone. I think Arsenal have become too inconsistent. Maybe the prospect of them winning the cup might put them off a bit in the league.

pete0 reacted to Cornish Steve in Man of the Match at Arsenal in FA Cup
McCarthy. He was unlucky on a couple of occasions, but, on the whole, he was strong and just never gave up. Lukaku and Barkley were a close second.
I almost gave it to Robles just to make a point. He did a good job - and the rampant criticism he's received is, in my opinion, unjustified.

Correct. I am a very nice guy. Good sense of humour, laid back character. Have a good management job, nice house, nice car. Put my family and kids first and take nothing for granted.
The flip side is I aint affraid to call a spade a spade. And you today are that spade.
Im surrounded in life by good people, very good people...because I have no time for idiots. Simples.
Lifes to short.....

That just turned into a shambles for 10 mins. Honestly I'm thinking we've been playing alright but same thing as normal happens.
