If you look at the Newcastle game and think we only played well for 45 minutes then your talking out of your arse. We played some really good football in that second half as well, and the energy and balance between McCarthy and Barry was superb. Yes we conceded two goals and more chances than we did in the first half but that wasnt unexpected given how much we dominated the first 45mins. If you think any team at this level is going to control a game from the 1st minute to the 90th then you need to think again. The two goals we conceded in that half werent because we played poorly as a team. Cabaye scored a worldie and our CB's were caught on their heels. We worked ourselves into a lot of goal scoring opportunities but we just didnt take advantage. Sometimes that happens. At no point were Newcastle ever in control of the game.

and so we should stay. if things have to change, make it part of the officials remit to bring decency back into the game. Id be majorly pissed off if we stooped to the level of asking for cards, diving, faking injuries all the time - that wouldnt be the Everton I know and love.

in any transition period you will make rerferences to the old and new regime. it seems that me being a long time Moyes critic seems to attract "stop slating Moyes in every post" comments from those who may have been in the "you can't criticise Moyes, who would do a better job"

All those decisions for me actually got to our players, totally lost focus and spent time getting involved - we should have got into him from the first moment, we need jags to protect us from weak refs and turn them onto the other team - why are we the victims???
 
please for fucks sake, Naismith is a poor player - technically our least proficient IMO, however in terms of positional sense, closing players, challenging, protecting his full back he is excellent.
