What's on him? That half our squad is shite and we've got a load of injuries?

A short term fix would be someone who came in and helped us win games. Every time Schneiderlin plays, we lose. He fixes fuck all.

Exactly - you can't think of any ready-made stars who will come in and transform us. So let's stop pretending we're the big time and getting our pants pulled down signing 'stars' who turn out to be shit. Let's go back to investing in character and potential, players who are willing to learn, who are hungry to improve and have already shown they can step up when asked. I don't want us to be chasing the same players as the Sky 6 right now because we'll have to throw cash at them to compensate for the lack of European football we can offer and we'll end up with the mercenaries. I want hungry players that our supposedly world class coach can mould into winners.

CB and CM all day long.
It was stupidity going into the season with only three CBs, we're really lucky Holgate has come on as he has done but he's still learning, Mina is OK, Keane is just utter shit and needs moving on, especially as Ancellotti clearly wants his defenders to play football. We really need a leader, an organiser who can defend and play. I'd love Mings, Ben White has had a fantastic season at Leeds on loan from Brighton, we've been linked with Egan at Sheff Utd and he's the lynch pin of a very good defense so why not.
CM, well its all about making sure we don't ever have to play Schneiderlin again really. I get the shouts for Cantwell coz he looks a good player but I think we need a genuine box to box all rounder rather than ANOTHER AM/no 10, we've still got Bernard, Sigurdsson and Iwobi! Rabiot would be great, especially as a loan makes sense with Gbamin and Gomes to come back. I think Mooy would be great at Everton, an absolute 100%er in the traditional Goodison hero mould. I've said it elsewhere but based on his performances this season, I'd love Lundstram back, his sheer energy and work rate are absolutely what we're crying out for in the middle.

Keep calling it as you see it. Some of the interpretations of what constitutes criticism of Ancellotti is a bit bizarre tbh. Saying we've started passing backwards too much or that he picked a shit midfield against Liverpool is hardly calling for his head!

Good to stir up a response there!!! Haha
I know it seems to stir up a negative reaction if you say anything slightly against Don Carlo...even if you aren't actually doing so! Let me say, I'm as excited as anyone to have him here. Awesome pedigree. However, as far as I'm concerned, it's an open book with empty pages that need writting.
I'm just calling it as I see it. And the last 2 games we have alarmingly turned to going backwards - A LOT. Under no pressure. Then put ourselves under pressure. I may just be scarred from previous attempts at this same play but we looked to making progress in this regard, first with Dunc where we absolutely did not do this. But the intensity has dithered and been replaced with much more passing about that back. Noticeable against Newcastle aswell.
Now I know there is more work to do, but the players haven't just decided to play this way themselves. They're being told to do so from somewhere. Basically I'm just a bit fearful that we try playing in a way that we don't have the players for.
Stay calm. It's not a critiscm. Just an honest innocent observation.

To be fair Robertson and Maguire left Hull that same summer Walsh and Koeman went on their diabolical spending spree. So if our board turned their nose up at Maguire for Keane, more fool them. We wouldn't have got Robertson with Liverpool after him. For £8m he was a an absolute steal.

I don't think we did against Liverpool. We reverted to aimless hoof ball. Even when we should have scored 3 in the first half it annoyed me coz we weren't set up to go long, if Richarlison had been right up alongside DCL it might have worked but most of the time it just ceded possession. Like I've said elsewhere, I think Ancellotti was expecting a stronger Liverpool side and we got caught in two minds.

I didn't think Silva did too bad at all in his first season - we had an awful run of form then turned it round and finished strongly. There were reasons to be optimistic in May. I then thought we had a poor transfer window, the punt on Kean might end up being justified long term but this season it left us starting out with a glaring lack of proven goalscoring options, and I thought the failed Zouma pursuit which left us with three senior CBs was verging on criminal. Then we/Silva got very unlucky with the Gbamin/Gomes injuries. We still don't know if we've replaced Gana and have had our best midfielder taken away for the season.
That said, we were all entitled to see progress under Silva this season and instead we saw the opposite. It was like groundhog day - back to the worst football we played last season, back to the horror show of Koeman's last couple of months. The team looked slow, lightweight, devoid of ideas, easily rolled over. It wasn't good enough and a club as big as ours can't afford to slip into the relegation zone at Christmas and hope things will turn around. It was the right decision to sack Silva, who it turns out had been appointed above his capabilities and you get the feeling the players knew that. Now we have a manager who no one can say that about, and we can move forward accordingly with optimism for a new decade ahead.

We'd have been better of with Mo Besic in midfield yesterday. Or his current team mate at Sheff Utd Lundstram - why did we let him go?? Fit as anything, athletic, mobile, can pass, tackle and pops up with goals - everything Schneiderlin can't do!

We need a vision for how to build a successful football team. If that involves bruising a few overpaid egos, so be it. There really is no reason for the likes of Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Tosun etc getting a kick for us any more, no matter what wages they are on. They're not delivering, they shouldn't play, regardless of who's in charge.

Ancelotti won’t be able to achieve anything with this team, he can bollock them throw cups of tea or boots at them it won’t make a difference, it’s not a football team it’s a bunch of over paid cunts.
Some were in the region of over 400 million spent in just over 3 years and Norwich Brighton and Southampton play more attractive football than us.
But that’s not the end of it if some reports on our financial situation are correct we can’t even expect to buy our way out of this mess, it’s already been reported that Ancelotti is going to get a smaller budget than he anticipated, whether or not he’s the man to turn us round or not I fear we may never get to find out, because if he can’t do what he needs to in the way of playing staff he will walk away, he won’t allow his reputation to be ruined by Moshiri.
What is the answer god knows, is it to promote some of the youngsters and shelf the players that aren’t and haven’t been performing for a long time, it couldn’t do any more harm than we are seeing now, it’s been working for Chelsea Man Utd and to a degree Spurs and Liverpool, since we have consistently had one of the better U23 squads for years why haven’t we you would think it would make sense to most people, but unfortunately Moshiri isn’t most people he works on the basis of I can buy success, well I think we can all see that the project buy our to the top has completely failed.
So let’s look with in for some inspiration and blood some of our young talent it could be the breath of fresh air we need, and if some of the players throw their dummies out the pram or even the manager for not getting the funds he was promised, then good because this club is bigger than any person in it, and that includes Moshiri who has a lot to answer for in the way this team  has gone backwards since he took over.

I've argued with many in here who don't see the value in bringing youth players through. Well we've just been knocked out the FA Cup by an U23 side who are clearly being coached to play in exactly the same way as the senior side, with one clear objective - they are absolutely ready to step in if and when needed. We've just won the last couple of PL2 titles, which means our U23s are in theory better than that lot. So what would have happened if we'd played Unsworth's side tonight? Why the fuck are we persisting with the likes of Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Walcott, even Digne now, when they cannot keep up with a bunch of kids that our kids have beaten??
We can hate Liverpool all we want. But if you want success as a football club, that's how you do it. We're just set up for mediocrity, top to bottom..

This is what happens when you spend 5 years spunking money on second and third rate footballers with clever agents instead of investing seriously in scouting, the youth system and proper development throughout the club. Forget we're playing against their reserves - we're fielding players that should never, ever have worn the Everton shirt, and yet we're paying them more than 100k a week to not give a fuck. The whole ethos of how this club is run has to change or we'll continue to be a mediocre joke.

We've been poor in front of goal but worse in possession. Their defence is shite, if we just got our foot on the ball and played with a bit of composure we'd carve them open. No excuses for not winning this.

I don't see what the debate is. He's not good enough. Too slow. Doesn't read the game well. Too easily out fought. Has a mistake in him. No leadership skills. Not a good enough footballer to pass out from the back.
I'm 100% confident Ancellotti will bring in better and move him on.
