About as expected so far. Their goal was very well taken, but we've controlled the game for the most part. They're gonna have to go all out now though, I expect us to park the bus and counter.

There definately won't be the amount of spending we have been used to seeing, but there will be the odd one or two players that clubs will pay top doller for and I see Jarrad as that type of player - we shouldn't be selling ourselves short.
I have said before, he will be a first class centre back for a top club for 12-15years. Great teams are build off foundation off top centre backs. Some of these clubs generate £100m a season - they can afford it if they really want him.
Exactly. He's following a Stones-like future and that is why he'll still command a big fee.

We could feasibly lose 7 or 8 if you go through the squad
Oh I know. I just don't see us having many funds for signing on fees for the free transfers

This game will actually depend massively on what Luton Town bring to it. Many of us have commented of the spirit and fight they have been showing this season which seems to have tailed off a bit this past 3 or 4 games, maybe fatigue of a season. If they get a second wind it what is argubley the most important game of the season for them now, they are going to make this a very difficult game - I imagine their supporters are going to be well up for it.
It's just nice to be in a game without feeling the worries of the world!!!
They're going to go full throttle so I'm assuming we just sit back and hit on the counter.

I think some good recruitment will see us ok but we can't be wasting 30m on the likes of Beto we can't be making the same mistakes every window or we will never get out of the mess we are in.
Agree, but I don't think we'll be signing more than 2-3 more than we sell.

You brought the slap up not me any other industry he would already be sacked. No
I’ll give him and the team credit for beating Liverpool but the other teams we’ve just beat aren’t we expected to beat them and the next 2 games.
I didn't say you had. I'm pointing out that it's a factor that also played a part in making this season harder than it needed to be. Despite that we should be sitting on 12th. 12th! Again, not good enough long term but a massive improvement on the previous 2 years despite the shit run.
No,based on the last few years, few of our remaining fixtures were "expected to win" games going on recent times. Absolutely expected to wins back in the 80s tough, just a shame we've only really got 2-3 really good players.

It's also noticeable how much more relaxed he is in press conferences now as well - having a laugh etc. Which I think is understandable given the pressure he's been under was unimaginable.
It's why I think it was a little unfair that some people held his prickly manner against him so much. If I was him I'd have been fucking unbearable .
Have been?

Yeah, I've had a lot of patience considering the big picture. Regardless of the bad run, he took over a squad with no morale or organisation, had it weakened, takeover chaos and points deductions, survived the previous 2 seasons by minutes and have got them to perform to a mid table level (minimum) even after the drama following the slap heard around the world.
Is it good enough forever? Absolutely not. Is it good enough for now? Considering everything, yes. Sometimes it's been exciting, most of the time dull as fuck, out of necessity in my eyes. But yeah, all things considered, good and ugly, I think he's done very very well.

As owners in waiting the 'deal' has obviosley been that 777 Partners fund the club running/ ongoing stadium build until paperwork is all sign sealed and delivered on the deal.
It will not be simple becasue the owners won't pay, it will be becasue that's what the current agreement is between 777 and Moshiri.
Situations changes if Moshiri is back to square one in any sale of the club - he'll have to sort out ongoing payment in another way, (plus have a 777 loan on the books) but we are not at this stage - yet.
Fair enough. I'm not that confident in our owner when it comes to finances so I'm biased.

Understanding from what source?
Well why else would Moshiri laden the club he's trying to sell with more debt when he's easily capable of funding the running himself?

Where did you read that? All sounds very alarmist to say things like "at the death" but 777 were actually just making a payment that they'd agreed to make as far as I can see, and making it on time.
777 are dodgy for sure and these are worrying times, but keep it real
The payment is to keep the club running because the current owner won't is my understanding

Have we been in the situation of people not being paid have we been anywhere near it I doubt it all we have is negative press about our club.
That's what part of what the 777 money is currently for as I understand. Moshiri closed the taps off.
