If they thought Sandro was a true #9 then they didn't do their homework very well. He can play up there for the Spanish U21s and he could play as more of a Vardy type striker but not as a target man type player than Koeman seems to want.

No chance... maybe in full training but I cant see them being fit and ready to start games by then. Its been a weird window. Pickford and Keane both big players in positions we needed and then we overloaded with a certain type of player that we probably only needed one of and haven't replaced our main striker, or brought in any cover at LB, and almost extracted any pace we had in the side. I dont know what to think, and I'm not sure Koeman will either.

Yeh something somewhere isnt right... Interestingly those close to Barkley are saying he hasnt had a medical but Mohsiri says he did, which again is very weird. Dont forget last year with Mohsiri claiming that we pulled out of a deal for Sissoko because he loved McCarthy so much, which turned out to be complete bollocks. I would take what he says with a pinch of salt.

If we signed a player like Barkley today I would be happy so the fact that he is here until next year is a bonus to the playing squad. I hope that the reality is that he has seen that the grass isn't greener, realises he has made a mistake, signs and stays. Its wishful thinking but I would rather he plays for us compared to sitting on Chelsea's bench.

I take it back he actually looked like a player against us in the away leg. Strong, good burst, good feet and reads the game well. As a replacement for Mirallas I am happy with that.
