He's done what he needed to do.
We'd be in 11th now without the deductions.
No one can deny that would be acceptable and 'as expected' this season.
But, like I said weeks ago, I'll give full opinion once the season has finished and we can all look at the Pros and Cons....

You're in a somewhat jovial mood today. Did the government just announce a pension increase?

    That's 17 points from 24.
5 home clean sheet victories in a row.
More than deserves another year here.
    Well done, Ginger Guardiola.

Any lawyers at TT? Damn. We need "thinking" Evertonians, so I guess we fell at the first hurdle.

Let's form a corporation and sell shares at £10 each. How much is needed. £600m maybe? That would be 60m shares. Some corporations and major investors will purchase in the hundreds of thousands, and I reckon a lot of fans would pay between £10 and £100. We can appoint a board and truly make it the people's club. That way, there's no need for any type of dirty money. evertoninvestments dot com.

I have quite a firm grip, thanks. I already acknowledged there's no clean money and explained why I don't like the options. I already lost a lot of love for the game with the last World Cups, I was always nervous about Moshiri... Us completely selling out to an outfit like that doesn't fit with what Everton means to me.

Matt ... get a grip, please. There are no "clean" money. Especially not in the big business. That's capatalism for you whether you like it or not. Not that I don't agree with you, but it's just so unrealistic to find "clean" big spenders.

I don’t think they add on more points in lost appeals for football.

I’m with Matt. It feels like we’ve conceded that the original deduction was fair and just. No we have to just keep quiet and not act like victims.

Tickets for those games will be like gold dust.
There'll be an almighty scramble for them and I'm sure some people will take advantage of that by selling them on for a huge profit. Cunts.

Really need to be at the first game there (and the last one at Goodison), proper historic moment.

Oh and @RuffRob, I go it wrong. If we went into administration before the last game of the season the 9 points deduction would be for this season.
But, administration is so much more than a points deduction. It really would be disastrous.

If it saves another million pound going into a KCs pocket i'm ok with this, we are safe, and need every penny we have got.

They'd have never added more on. Not strictly impossible but it just wouldn't have happened. If they didn't do it to Forest they wouldn't have done it to us.
I can sort of understand them withdrawing the appeal but I wish we'd kept at it and made things as awkward and difficult for the PL as possible.

All sorts of stories now that MSP will step in etc. Stories coming from an angle that we are having to 'beg' MSP to come back.
Reality is, MSP have always been around.
They wanted a 25% stake in the club, cash for equity, before 777 came along. That deal was only vetoed by the shadow that is Rights and Media Funding (the company with no employees, no physical office, no assets and no apparant cash flow).
I have a feeling, I'm pretty sure many of yous have had too, that this 'shadow', Rights and Media Funding, has a firm grip on this club through guarantees against assets that potential buyers are finding difficult to navigate.
We've known for years our finances are a tangled Web. Moshiri, judging by his running of the club, was the only 'rich' guy willing to take on the mess. And make it messier. Whilst the others said no thanks!
Half my speculation, half 'reportedly fact'...who really knows!!!
