bassman
During the DM era, Bill Kenwright was forever making comments, (or so it seemed to me)in one form of media or another, about the Club, The Team, The Manager, especially if we had done well, (Riding on the back of success). So where is he this season? Team doing quite well, great new Manager, and he is most conspicuous by his absence! (Yes, I know, to some of us, a good thing!) Romey 1878
you didnt see his embarrassing pre-match interview before the derby then? I haven't. What was embarrassing about it?
Matt
I haven't. What was embarrassing about it? I love his passion for the club but he was physically gushing.... Even I was irritated by it and im a supporter of Bill! Edited November 25, 2013 by Matt
Hafnia
I love his passion for the club but he was physically gushing.... Even I was irritated by it and im a supporter of Bill! Glad I missed it then! I'll say one thing for him though, he's hired a class act of a manager... lets see if he can one further and sell us to a class act of an owner. Then he can happily do all the interviews he wants as president or whatever title will sufficiently stroke his Everton ego.
Brett Angel
The man's a bell!!!! That interview was highly embarrassing. I could picture all the red shites in the pub laughing their arises off at us. Matt
StevO
Maybe Roberto said "if I'm winning games you stay away from the cameras" and put it in his contract. I don't miss Bill at all.
badaids
Hasn't BK got a shitload of productions on at the moment? Maybe that's why he's not about much.
Brett Angel
Danny dyer's big entrance in eastenders.... Maybe bills hitting the street again. You can imagine BK has a life size picture of himself above his bed that he kisses every morning and state of the art karaoke machine. MikeO
Here we go again. Yup. The whole (historic) opinion that, "he laps it up when we're winning and says nothing when we're losing" suggestion in the opening post is ridiculous imo. He gives interviews when he's asked; he's asked more when we're doing well. It's not complicated. Matt and markjazzbassist
rubecula
BK doesn't force tv companies to interview him. I do not agree with the OP at all. markjazzbassist
Brett Angel
yes, i agree too, i also love BK's insight into his everton. havnt heard him gush over RM like he did evrry giving second with DM. i have a funny feeling Roberto pacifies him and bill knows this. tzp7zy
I suspect that its more to do with our new Communications Director, Alan Myers, having his finger on the media pulse a bit better than previous incumbents. Notice how Roberto is getting air time on TV and things like Everton in the Community getting plenty of media coverage, including from the PM. It's all part of having a coherent comms strategy that seems to be being implemented successfully. Which after all, is about time and very welcome cos we have been pretty good at giving it both barrels in our own feet from time to time.
