Just read this article (albeit not a good source) saying Martinez and Kenwright had a meeting this week and Kenwright has promised him more funds, also he looking to sign players from United but he's probably going to wait until they've made their signings.

 

Could all be bollocks I know!

I'd go with Welbeck or Chicharito, but I think we will be priced out of Hernandez unfortunately. Reminds me a little bit of Tim Cahill, with his in the box finishing ability.

We'll have a bit more in the coffers now as Forshaw is Wigan bound and we get 50% of any fee (according to 4th Official on twitter), rumoured to be around the £5m mark.

If I had to choose I'd take Powell for four million and Kagawa for 8, maybe Welbeck and Cleverley.

Cleverley played some good football under Martinez in Wigan as a left forward.

Even Welbeck would make sense, seeing how Naismith is performing lately. Kagawa would be a smart buy, play him for a year or two, then sell him to a Bundesliga/Serie A club for decent money.

I don't think we'll get anymore players to be honest. I don't know whether we have the requisite quality in depth in all positions, but we have the numbers in depth. I could see us go for some of the youngsters we've been linked with though (Nicholson, Lenihan, Henen, Gomez, Brownhill, etc).

I'm expecting a loan signing. Barkley out for the EL group stages and Pienaar already struggling with injuries plus Atsu probably not ready to start games means we are a bit short on creativity.
