Yesterday i was in the bank, and i know a few of the lads in there, we got talking about everton, and i was told, someone who knows someone working at man utd, came into the bank yesterday and said scholes was offered a 1 year contract, and was unsure as whether to take it up, as his days seem to be numbered there. Now don't shoot the messenger but supposedly everton are looking into a 2 year deal for him? What do you think of that? And also, would you like scholes at are club, for his experience now, more than anything? It might give our reserve side a boost . We won't get anywhere if we continue to take Uniteds put out to graze cast offs , unless it's for coaching purposes . Scholes was / is a great player , but don't think it's the way forward . We have too many young promising strikers, add to to the fact we may be getting Berg or Jo, Viduka would be spending a lot of times in the reserves and on the bench of a Euro Cup game to come in on the last minute.
