I actually don't think that performance was much good and a fully wound up City would have spanked us a lot easier. We had a go but there was very little quality on show.

I disagree, a half wound up city team would still finish third in the league. I thought we played well. Had a city mate of mine texting me all through the game worrying. City can spank anyone on their day. At the end of the day we competed and conceded a really poor second goal. We could have got a point on another day. At 1-1 we should have made a change and got on the front foot.

Aspects of the performance were better but still not good enough. Pickford was at fault for the second and I am really doubting his character and professionalism now. The way he laughed when he was dispossessed just before the final whistle was disrespectful and poor.

DCL seems to have a bit of confidence and I can't criticise him for effort and passion but I think he should have scored after their 'keeper parried Mina's header from a corner.

If we carry on like this it will be mid table at best and that is just not good enough.

He wasn’t on his toes ready for it and got his legs tangled up should have bagged

On the plus side it was great to see some spirit back in the team.

On the negative side we can not keep missing so many very good chances.

And yet again individual errors cost, in January we need to look for a CB, CF and i think a new keeper.

He was at fault last week, he was responsible for the second goal, and what he was doing at the end i dont know, then he laughs about it, dont understand the lad he seams indifferent to any mistake he makes.

He did not seam bothered if we lost by 3 or 4, well the fans do.

Can't fault how we've played today. Might end up on the losing end, but we've given them a real fight

Oh yes we can. The defence is terrible. I'm not sure how to fix it other than bring in a specialist defensive coach. Yes, several players put in a good shift - Coleman, DC-L, Iwobi in particular - but we were always second best. Whenever City attacked, I had the feeling they could score.

Why start Walcott? Why ever play Schneiderlin? Sigurdsson is out of place in this team. Play DC-L and Kean upfront with Iwobi and Richarlison behind/outside them. And please: sort out the defensive mess. Our positioning is awful, and we seem to leave so many opposition forwards unmarked.

We've been a mess defensively since Koeman. Only conclusion I can make is the CBs we keep signing aren't good enough.
