No way on earth was he going to spend that much its more of a ''I tried'' act to the fans when it doesnt wash with me really. allthough it came accross like i was speculating on speculation as you sed. You said Moyes linked us to Downing, that's what I'm saying I must have missed because I don't remember Moyes ever saying he wanted Downing. Hes gonna be world class, i doubt baines will be. 6m is an awful lot for baines, still prefer to see quedrue for a fraction of that sum as he may not be as long term but is probably jus as good as baines if not better, in terms of figures is baines (6m vs 2m) 3 times better than franck? dont think so Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its hardly like weve been splashing all our cash elsewere so lets get this one in i belive we willl end up getting him on to a similar deal as lesscot around 3 mill raising on performance and england appearences ect.
