Really good game that and an impressive start. We should have won and we we conceded two flukey goals which were also finished off really nicely.

Our goals were very nice, Barkley especially but the move for Coleman's was also top drawer. If we play like that every week we will win a damn site more than we lose.

Everyone playing well with Barkley and Pienaar excelling so far. Couple nice touch from Jelly, but again we're not getting the ball into him where he can get a shot away. Too many passes around the top of the area, going to need to take a few shots or work it side to side faster. Norwich are sitting deep and despite our possession we're not really troubling them.

Osman's been poor for me, not really offering anything, I'd just as soon have him off, stick Pienaar in the middle and bring Deolefeu or Oviedo on to really stretch both wings with pace.

You forgot to mention, the face of Jo Brand's vagina.

In all seriousness, if they do manage to keep hold of the player in question, he's a dangerous character for any opposition, and who's to say he won't do something stupid again like before, for the benefit of neutrals amusement ? At the Gerrard testimonial game recently, apparently a number of their supporters were giving Suarez boos and general not-welcome indications, but you can imagine they'll soon forgive and forget if the Uruguayan decides in the end to stay on at Anfield.

Gerrard while a great player, his best days are obviously a thing of the past, although he can still deliver a knockout blow and be crucial to a game. Sturridge seems a decent player, but we'll see how it goes. Say again, hope they have a real disappointing season.

At the bare minimum, he'd be a much better alternative/cover to Mirallas and Pienaar than Gueye is.

Could go either way. But looking at recent games I can't help but think the best thing about Robles and Kone are the reaction from Howard and Jelavic.

That was a horrible half of football and if our players don't get used to this new system quick then it'll be a slow start! All Betis need to do is press our possession and we'll give it back to them. I'm all for keeping possession and wearing teams down but there certainly needs some tweaking or reinvesting in clientele. Thankfully this is a friendly but still with the EPL kick off 6 days away this is worrying.

17 year old PSV winger Zakaria Bakkali has had a dream start to his career. He debuted for PSV 12 days ago, he scored his first goal for PSV in a Champions League qualifier 3 days ago, he received his first call up for the Belgian national team 2 days ago and today he has scored his first goal in the Eredivisie and his first hattrick! He scored three of PSV's goals in a 5-0 against NEC. Two of his goals were simply incredible.

Behave yourself. If you have an agenda against Av then leave it out of trying to influence mods decisions.

I find him a good lad overall even though i always seem to argue with him, and whilst he does blow a gasket on here from time to time his hearts in the right place. He certainly wouldn't try and get someone banned. So do us a favour and butt out, because if it was down to the posters to get people banned, you wouldn't be far from my hit list.

What is really posses me off is rewind 6 months ago and every tom dick an harry were telling us he's gone once a bid comes in cause we can't hold on to someone as prolific as that, he's constantly putting himself in the window..... Six months later, he's a bit of a overrated yard dog who can only disrupt everyone's playing style..... Hypocritical fucking sheep who can never keep to there own opinion.

Why not talk about fellaini again... That's what the threads for. If I wanted any of this I'd turn off and listen to my misses all night instead

I agree that he'd get plenty of playing time. RM is not one to play the same team week in and week out, plus he has an excellent track record of making tactical substitutions.

Really dont want to lose Baines and even though Oviedo has shown that he could replace him, Baines is the best LB in the league and a great asset.

Thats not really much to compare him with though

I would rather we just saved the money and used Garbutt in rotation with Oviedo. Not saying he should be playing every other game but get him involved in cup matches and get him on at the end of games we are comfortable in.

I don't feel we should spend more than £10m on McCarthy, but this constant reference to him as a "championship player" is a little over the top. He performed well in the premier league and should be thought of accordingly. It's not as if he couldn't hack it.
