If they do the pitch like l saw being done at the Emirates, they put what I’m saying looked like sand down, then they put plugs in of artificial grass with strands about a foot long, which gave the impression that the whole pitch looked like it was green, then they put a layer of soil down to quite a deep depth making sure the artificial grass was coming through, then they seeded it, and when it was ready for it’s first cut the artificial grass and real grass were cut to the same length.
Like you I can’t wait for the pitch to start taking shape and seeing it develop 3-4 days a week.
I then think the drone flyer’s will become more interesting. For me it will be interesting to see if the pitch is constructed in the same way, or whether technical advances have moved on when creating a pitch.
As strange as it may seem I’m as excited as a kid on Christmas Day.

Not seen how it was done in Emirates, but when it was done at Goodison the turf was laid in full and then the artificial turf plugs were inserted after the pitch had settled in by machine driving them into the ground.

Well yes but how are expected to eat a thin pizza that can't hold its own weight? Hands are first choice but not always possible

Slight fold on the crust with the right hand, anything that’s falling to be held up with the left hand until it’s in your mouth. I’ve been teaching my daughter this technique. She’s 3, you have no excuse.
    Pizza really isn’t complicated. 😂

That last official stadium video was one of the best I’ve seen, I’ll be honest I don’t watch many of the Mr Drone stuff anymore, don’t get me wrong they served there purpose especially in the early construction stages, now I want to get inside the stadium more and on the ground level view of what happening and what it looks like.

Me too, I’m more interested in the things we can’t see. I want to see progress inside the stands. Maybe I want it because I can’t see it. I’m obsessive with this build so I watch everything.
Since they have been talking about the pitch construction starting in May, I’ve thought that come the day the turf goes in it would be great to invite drone flyers down to film it. Have 20 or so camera angles of the pitch going in, it could be a real viral moment for the build.

This is the league admitting that the current regulations are flawed and one of the main reasons they’re changing them is because the original regulations never allowed for inflation (if they had we’d have been fine). So I’m sure Super Silk is licking his lips at getting to put our case forward for the second charge.

Would love him to go into the second case and open by asking for our points back from the first case in light of new evidence. 😂

Aye, they could just do it to relegate us at the end of the season instead…

Said that to my Dad yesterday.
Klopps last game for Liverpool, beat us and we go down, they win the league.

  6. I get that Dyche doesn’t make many subs and often like for like. But against United we were getting chances and winning the ball back in their half all game. So why would he change the formation? It was working. We didn’t not score because of the formation as we got in position to score.
Im very critical of our lack of creativity, but the formations didn’t cause a lack of quality. The players did that themselves.

I don’t know why I asked to be honest, I think it may have been that it came into my head when I was reading about the compressed sand and the piles driven into it to support the stadium the other day. So there must be an estimated weight for them to have calculated the amount size and depth of the piles.

That makes sense. But the sand isn’t taking the weight. The sand filled the dock, but the piles went much deeper than the dock bed. 20 meters I think they are. The north and south stand aren’t built on the sand either, they are built directly on the land (on the piles obviously).

It’s your responsibility to look 👀 these Stadium threads are your responsibility, you’ve got to finish what you started no matter how difficult it gets😂

Well I didn’t think anyone would ask how heavy it is?!  😂

After a brief Google, Lumen field in Washington weighs 5,200 tonnes. Surprised me as I expected a lot more than that for a large stadium.

This may have been recorded and posted in the past, but does anyone know what the expected weight of the Stadium will be once finished. Not including the big guy sat in seat 74 in the east stand.

    Really, really, fucking heavy!!
Could be in the plans some where, I’m not looking though. 😂 Can find them in the info thread.

keep him in midfield - the only player with a bit of bottle in there to try and play it and create.  Coleman needs to come back at right back.

Most of the time I’d say yes. The last few weeks I think his bottle has gone and he’s been hiding when he can. And I hate to say that about any player, but it’s just how he’s looked. Literally hiding behind a player instead of being open for a pass. I hope it doesn’t last as he’s the only midfielder who can pass a ball who will play regularly.

  11. Exclusivity will just mean the club can’t discuss with them. Nothing stopping them letting the club know they are interested. Or being public, a brief statement to the press to say like don’t worry Evertonians if 777 aren’t approved we’re ready to go. It would just build a bit of pressure.
When Radcliffe was trying to get into United him and the Qataris were both quite public with their interest.

To be fair, loads of those are free kick around half way that we just launch in to the box. Not pretty but it is effective with the general size of our team.

And pretty effective as he can play a long pass better than most of our outfield players.

Part of me is tempted by one of the Club Everton - whatever they’re calling the food/drink lounge/street food deals… if it’s £800 for just the seat - I often spend £50 by the time I’ve had food and a few beers - over the course of a season anything under £2k and it’d probably be worth it if enough food/drink are included. About £100 game sounds ridiculous when compared to what we’re used to paying but sadly it is what it is!

I’ve registered my interest for every level of hospitality so far. Partly to be nosey and feed my obsession for the build. Partly hoping something is affordable and do it while my Dad is young enough and fit enough to come with me.

I’ve not had a call or email back. My understanding is that they are selling this stuff like hot cakes. I expect the first five years or so will have a waiting list. Probably calm down a bit after that initial boost.

I know in the traditional hospitality seats/lounges they have been asking people to commit to three years. Still selling them no problem. Good idea in my opinion, getting people locked in. Hospitality can be a tough market.
