His reluctance to use subs or change tactics in a timely manner is concerning.

Shows the level of trust he has in the squad players, or lack of. Some of them lads must really show fuck all in training to barely get on the pitch, by some of, I mean Danjuma. Pretty much no one else even on the bench apart from Keane and Godfrey, don’t want to see them get a chance.

The club came out with statement a few days after the first hearing to say that they were appealing against the severity of the  punishment, and if my memory serves me right it was Chong who released the statement.

Then it shouldn’t be so hard for you to find this statement.

But he doesn’t clarify this in the video version. He does say the punishment is unjust, but doesn’t say we will only be appealing the punishment and not the guilty verdict.

Is it universally accepted that he is a great captain these days or do some still think he is a shit captain?

If people in the game like Carlo, Lampard and Dyche all talk openly about what a great captain he is, as well as players like Tarky and Coady, that will do for me.

When he leaves the club we will be worse off without him.

It’s not funny Matt it’s true Everton FC are appealing against the severity of the 10 points deduction, can you please show me or tell me where you have seen the club say they are appealing against the guilty verdict, because I have just seen the club say that they have made an appeal against the severity of the punishment, so unless you know differently it would suggest that they still admit their guilt, because I have seen nothing from the club since the hearing suggesting they are going to fight the guilty verdict on appeal only the severity.

Can you please show me where the club say they are only appealing against the severity of the punishment?

All sub contractors. Should probably take it up with their employer I’d say.

Echo story sort of makes out it’s Laing under paying. It sounds to me like they have found out Laing are paying good wages to their own employees and the electricians employers don’t pay them as much.

Onana we could live with but Branthwaite would be huge miss and near on impossible to replace. I was thinking Onana as well along with Pickford and possibly one this month if it’s the right money to cover what we need to get off PSR charge. The next week an a half are going to be huge for the future of this club with the upcoming appeal and trying to avoid the 2nd charge.

Selling players now wouldn’t make the 2nd charge go away. It’s for a period ending last year. It could help with the next charge, but we may have a transfer ban at that point so losing players now would put us in a really big hole.

To make the analogy a little closer...

The traffic cop notes your time as you pass by various mile markers. Local statutes demand that they measure your average speed over three miles. On this stretch of road, the speed limit is 65mph. Only if you exceed 65mph over three miles can you be charged with speeding. Here's what they observe:

    Mile marker 1: 45 seconds
    Mile marker 2: 90 seconds
    Mile marker 3: 135 seconds

The police note your total time over 3 miles: 135 seconds. This means you've been doing 80mph. On come the blue lights. You immediately slow down to 60mph (a mile a minute). The police car isn't behind you yet. Maybe you got away with it.

    Mile marker 4: 195 seconds
    Mile marker 5: 255 seconds

Now they've caught up and pulled you over.

"Sir. From when we started monitoring your speed, we measured it at 80mph over three miles. Did you know the speed limit is 65mph? That'll be a £200 fine." You take out your wallet and hand over the cash. Before you can drive off, the police officer continues: "But we also started monitoring your speed after Mile Marker 1. For the next three miles, you averaged 72mph. That's a second offense. That'll be £400 fine." You're annoyed. "But from the moment I spotted your blue lights, I slowed to 60mph." The officer smiles as he thinks what he'll do with that £600. "Sorry sir, but the law states that we must measure your speed over a 3-mile stretch of road." Now you're angry: "But you can't fine me twice for speeding over the same stretch of road! Anyway, national law is different." The officer considers this for a moment before continuing: "What matters is my patch, not national law. Now, we also measured your speed for three miles starting at Mile Marker 2. From there, you averaged 65.5mph. Now, I was going to be kind and overlook it, but since you've taken umbrage... that will be £600 for a second repeat offense."

This points out just how ridiculous the whole scenario is. We're being threatened with a second fine when we were already fined for much of the same stretch of road. Either they restart the measurement after three miles or they calculate over one mile. It's ridiculous that they claim the right to fine potentially three times for overspending in just one year.

Look at Steve just driving around with £600 in his wallet. Loaded!! 😂
