I heard the end of a conversation on the radio the other day saying that the premier league could be delaying the takeover so that, in a similar way to Chelsea, the new owners can’t push back on the PSR charges. Like you can’t penalise me for something the previous owner has done. So if that’s out of the way before any new ownership then it saves the premier league from another fight. I don’t know who was saying it, I just caught the end of it when I got in the car.
Wouldn’t surprise me though. -

Can’t be a coincidence that we keep picking up draws.
Playing very solid to make sure we don’t concede, but too scared to try to win the game.
I pray for a bit of normality.

Quite simple really of the players brought in under Dyche’s tenure to date, who has or hasn’t impressed you and if you want to add why or why not you can, no hidden agenda. You go to the games so you could make a good judgement as to how many of the 5 have impressed you or disappointed you.
Not sure how or why you have come to the conclusion that I have tied anyone’s hands behind their backs. It’s not you that Dunc is suggesting tied Dyche’s hands.

No rumour. I just don't want to see 'Lukaku' show up under 'Transfer Rumours' every time I log in to TT.
I’m so tempted.

It would have been nice if he had put a tackle in to prevent their goal.
Generally he doesn’t do enough for me in all games, apart from waving his arms at the crowd.This. He needed the goal to make up for watching them score without doing anything about it.

I felt we pretty much bypassed the midfield for most of the game with long aimless punts upfield.
The midfield bypassed themselves by not even attempting to get into space or pass the ball forwards.

The answer is onana, so I’ll go other. Midfield was horrifically unproductive until he came on and he controlled play once he did.
it would’ve been him even if he didn’t get the goal.
There was that first 30 seconds or so when he was still asleep when he got on the pitch, if he was awake we wouldn’t have been 1-0 down.
Good after that though. Should have come on at half time.

The Palace game was crying out for him in midfield. Just someone to pass a ball to anyone other than Tarky, Branthwaite or Pickford. I hate to say it but Garner spent most of the game hiding. A player to get on the ball could have made a big difference against such a poor side.

For those interested, the concrete “bowl” inside the stadium was completed yesterday afternoon.
A really cool photo was posted by the club on Twitter, here…

The decision on the takeover taking this long is taking the piss though. It's clear that these are fucking charlatans and should have been sent packing a good while ago.
Im pretty sure 777 are the charlatans in this post, but the people taking this long to make a decision could be too.

105 was probably reasonable 10 years ago but the market has escalated dramatically since then and the rules didn't adapt
Any rules that have a specific financial implication should always have interest built in. Doesn’t make sense otherwise.
The way more and more clubs have got close to this shows how outdated it is.
If I was La Liga I’d be lowering regulation for spend with the goal of growing their league while the Prem is in a bit of a shambles.

Be fucking fuming...like everyone...if we get these points kept off, then more off in April...
Then they change the rules next year.
They surely aren't that fuckin incompetent?!!
When we got the points deduction I predicted they would change the rules and we would be the only club ever to be punished. I still think that will be the case, Forest depending.

It'll cost you the best part of £350 for a standing ticket .
I’m hoping I watch it for free, on a drone flyers YouTube channel.

Pretty sure the design is football first. Events will be a bonus but the design of the stadium was designed primarily as a football first stadium. But I get the point. It won't just be in the fancy places where we will see an increase of revenue. Just the idea that there's going to be time and space to get a pie and a pint at halftime will lead to a big increase in custom too.
Yeah, it’s a football stadium. It’s just got features to help for the other 340 or so days per year.
I’d love to see a return of the Liverpool summer pops and host it on the fan plaza, with maybe a big headline show to close, which could be on the pitch.
Rugby’s magic weekend would be perfect for it too. Moving to Leeds this year. We should be pushing, hopefully we already are, for 2027 on wards. I wouldn’t do anything on the pitch in 2026 as after a year of football I’m sure the ground staff will want to see how the pitch has reacted and make future plans for the surface.

So increased capacity of around 13,000 and around 4000 'All' seats -
say 500 'dinning' package at around £8000 (£4M) - pure guess on price
and 3500 bar package at around £3000 (£10.5M)
9000 ordinary seat as season ticket price of say £700 - (£6.3M)
some very crude sums and can quick see extra £20M season or around £1M generated per match day.
That's without considering an inevatable increase in ticket prices.
Any revenue gained for none Everton events could be significant, becasue this stadium has probably been better designed and built that any other as a large capacity 'Entertainmenting venue' with multi purpose use in mind. I go to a lot of music concerts and the VIP packages you now see on offer seem to be big and more frequent all the time. With Everton Stadium being purpose built for this, then inevitably it means more revenue for artists, promoters and venue owners. You imagine our new stadium would have to be at the top of promoters lists as the venue of choice.
With regard to naming rights this stadium will go beyond advertisement in the relms of football. Lets how we don't sell them cheap or lock in to too long a deal.
Naming rights is a massive deal financially and with a takeover potentially weeks away (and current owner all but out the door) - you would think a naming riights deal is fully aligned with 777.
Nice summary Rob.
Regards to the naming rights and the length of the deal. They are looking for a long term deal from the update a few days ago.
I guess from the sponsors point of view if it’s locked in for 10/15 years it gives a stronger branding.
Can anyone tell me where Bolton play? It’s the Reebok stadium right? But Reebok haven’t been the sponsor for about ten years.
Anyone remember City playing at The City of Manchester Stadium?
Or Arsenal calling the Emirates Ashburton Grove?Maybe this is why clubs give them a shit forgettable name like Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and why we are building Everton Stadium rather than Bramley Moore Dock Stadium or something that might stick after we get a sponsor.
Im rambling.

Yeah, locked in with Laing. There was no way the whole lot would be.
Does my head in when the £500m figure gets thrown around to sound like we’re massively over budget.
We spent £100m before anything was even above ground.
Even Moshiri was talking about £760m last year.
Peel probably wanted a bit of money to get the lease of the land sorted, Dan Meis didn’t do it for free either.
