NYBlue got a reaction from Matt in John Stones
This. The club are in a very difficult position and they are trying to handle it the best way they can while managing games and working on transfer targets. I guess the problem lies in the fact that he said they would reject it in the morning and there hasn't been any official rejection other than the words from RM's interview which have been cut and pasted.
For me there was also the dig at the 'authorities' that if they won't do anything then the club will take it upon themselves to protect him.

NYBlue got a reaction from Deacs in Jonny Evans
Sterling is a different case though. That price was artificially inflated by the Shite. Sterling would be 20M max for me. City are stupid enough to have paid the premium that also includes the QPR sell on.
I find it difficult to understand how we would pay 7M for Evans in his last contract year when Spurs were looking for 6M for Lennon. From what I'm reading they now value Lennon at 9M - madness.
I'll defer to Martinez on this one. I would just really prefer us not to buy him at all.

We are a complete shambles. I'm lost for words.

NYBlue got a reaction from Matt in Longest Thread For Drivel (or the Romelu Lukaku thread)
Inclined to agree. I don't this Ross's absence has helped either, give him a break, get him right and get him firing on all cylinders again.

NYBlue got a reaction from Matt in Gerard Deulofeu
Same. I see the reasoning being back at Barca, common sense would dictate that it would have been better for him to stay with us. Hope it does turn out like that, would be a great addition in January and would be a huge lift for the club.

NYBlue got a reaction from Romey 1878 in Expectations for next season
Entirely dependent on how the transfer window goes. Europa will obviously be more of a burden on the squad but top 6 would be my league expectation. A good cup run and if we do go out at least make it a loss with our strongest team and with a bit of luck a good luck an extended trip around Europe.

NYBlue got a reaction from Toffee_in_LA in Van Gaal
Think Van Gaal will end up being a terrible appointment for United, they may well have 200M to spend but as shown by Spurs those players brought in will need time to gel. If they don't hit their minimum requirement then he'll be fired and they'll continue the carousel.
Plus the situation with teachers pet and Rooney will be interesting. They've really shot themselves in the foot with that 300k contract

NYBlue got a reaction from Kant in Gerard Deulofeu
Barcelona have confirmed that Gerry will not be going out on loan:

That's a real shame, another year would really have furthered his long term development.

NYBlue got a reaction from Toffee_in_LA in Oviedo's injury
His first game back playing at Goodison will be something special.

NYBlue got a reaction from Sibdane in New contracts
The only time I can see Stones moving on will be when Bobby moves on to another club. I could see Bobby coming back for him straight away.

NYBlue got a reaction from Quinn31 in James Milner
I'd take him for the right money. Since he will be going into the last year maybe a loan similar to Barry's deal. I don't think he excels in any one area but you can't dispute his commitment and he would be a great fit in the locker room.

NYBlue got a reaction from Toffee_in_LA in Everton v Man City
I'm a bit late to the party on this one. Good reading everyone's different opinions etc. One thing that I think is worth mentioning living in the US we have NBC Sports covering the game and as result we had Arlo White and Lee Dixon commentating on the game. As opposed to what I'm reading about the Sky coverage with Tyler and Neville I don't remember either of them saying anything about Goodison being quiet etc. Yes, they remarked that it was a little strange and they picked up on the Gerrard chant but not in a context of the crowd wanting to throw the game or anything. They did what their job requires of them and commentated on the game that was happening in front of them.

NYBlue got a reaction from Ant1979 in everton vs city
I totally understand people's opinions on Europa. For me, if Martinez sees that as the next step in progressing Everton under his leadership then I'll be happy for us to play in the competition.
I'm normally well up for the City game and I want us to win but if we lose my reaction will just be 'meh' and to look forward to the Hull game. For those who live in the city and would have to contend with RS fans harping on about the title I completely understand where you are coming from.
I more want Liverpool to fall at the last hurdle simply because Gerrard will look back on his career and know he was that close to it but that his slip was the turning point. Whether it actually will be or not is neither here nor there, deep down he'll know it.
