From mid point last season where we looked pretty dire to know, is a vast improvement - Keane looks the player we all hoped, Digne is just pure class, Coleman has rediscovered himself and whoever plays next to Keane seems to have clear understanding of his role.
Silva has done well here - hopefully we sharpen up in front of goal!

No - the gap would have been bigger and I wouldn’t of enjoyed 10 seconds of football he would have severed up! 

Allerdyce is a specialist for swerving relegation by building a strong defensive foundation. 
He was called in, went back to basics with the squad and gave us a steady finish to a horrible season. 
Silva has then adopted that same mess that Allerdyce inherited us in, minus two players, and implemented a whole new style of play. This takes time, a lot more time than just drilling and team and forcing results. Look at Klopp for instance. 
In the last 10 games we are 5th in the form table, with 7 clean sheets and 14 goals, and only City and Liverpool have conceded less goals than us. 
The foundations of what Silva seems to be trying to do are starting to be layed down, a lot can be done better, like conceding two against Fulham who have won every game since they have been relegated, but hopefully that will come in time. 
I've been very disgruntled myself when we have lost games, but after calming down and having a look back on our over all form, it's encouraging. 
Allerdyce if still at the helm would have likely been on similar points, but the pattern of the season would have been completely different, including not being able to best the big sides, and implementing that style of football that not many successful modern clubs like to play.

Its almost as if every time he gets into those situations his touch let's him down and makes the shot more difficult. Needs composure. 

We lost against a nothing team in Newcastle, only the second time in 365 games that we've not got anything after taking in a two goal lead. Got comfortably beat by a relegated Fulham. Bullied by league one Millwall. Then there's the Leicester game on new year's, fortunately I missed this one but from what I heard it was our worst performance in years. 
We've had a good spell but with a big chunk of luck given the opposition. Don't see what Gana has done in those games to get the credit. If he didn't play and Davies did we'd probably have still won them, Gana hasn't been vital in any of them. 

We have just beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd and got a very creditable draw against The Shite
Given the fact the Gana has been instrumental in all of the above games can we now safely put to bed this notion that he can only perform against the lesser sides?
