All this not playing players from the youth team is pretty much out dated now for us, we are team with money with an owner who is throwing money at it looking for success, the fact we are going through so many managers would suggest to me the case for what I have just said.
Now go back a few years and youth players were tried out more as a necessity than a choice, we see that in all the teams with money they buy the finished article in most instances rather than improve and promote with in we are now starting unfortunately to follow that trend, but hey we wanted money and that's what money does.

I get that when it’s to do with a transfer fee, but when it comes to clauses that can affect the future of a player I would think they have an interest. 
Look at Geri’s deal when we signed him, he might have wanted to stay at Everton but there was a contract in play that took that out of his hands. In that kind of scenario surely the player would have to agree to it? Sell on clauses could stand in the way of a player getting a move. I’m just speculating anyway.

I don’t think anyone is building him up to be a saviour, just plenty of reason to optimistic. We’ve had enough pessimism in the last 30 years, it’s good to see Evertonians being positive again.

Also true, however not only was that the most congested period, it’s the minority of the season.
For 2/3rds of the season we showed top 6 form. The fact that we went from relegation form during the middle third of the season to top 3 form in the last 3rd is massively encouraging.

If he'd cost us £25m I'd be ecstatic with him (and that is when we should have stopped the bidding. Thanks, Steve, you dick). But he cost us £50m. And I know it's not his fault, I totally get that, but you expect a game changing player for that sort of money.
I genuinely like him as a player. He works extremely hard for us but we did buy him to create and influence and, for me, he just doesn't do enough.

I hope we do. It’ll make deadline day boring but I’d gladly have it that way.

Can see the logic of going to a single pivot in DM, especially with Gomes still out.

Sigurdsson and Bernard both hard working enough to get back in midfield. Lookman because I want to see him play and don't care much for Walcott and Tosun because his link up play is better than DCL, I think dom will struggle against Tarkowski and Mee and Tosun will be up for securing his spot in the squad. 
 

Speak for yourself (repeating myself again) I want Liverpool to win their last two, as long as City do too because it'd then be us who took the title from them. They came to Goodison with their fate in their own hands and when they left it was in City's. I wouldn't moan if they screwed up again (unlikely) but if it plays out as seems likely I'll be very happy.
