nyblue23 got a reaction from Shukes in Chelsea (Home) 6th August
Still, a soft pen following Pawson giving away a free kick after Sterling literally fell over without contact. We can’t fucking win. Godfrey only injured because the linesman didn’t call the ball out of play when it was clearly out. This shit gets so tiring sometimes.

I hate it when people go on about refs, but this guy surely isn’t a qualified ref?
Not the penalty, just his overall performance. Pathetic just doesn’t justify this guy.

Another awful call from Pawson, not a foul.

That’s a dive or a slip at best. Poor decision from the ref

Ref isn’t gonna give us anything, how was that not a booking

I'd be on board with this one. Young, has a hell of a lot of potential but also has ability now, lots of room to grow and improve with us. Probably cost us a little bit more than we'd like to pay but there's enough upside to offset that.
Definitely the right sort of profile of player we absolutely need to be looking at - not the likes of Lingard.

Ffs Bailey I said it a comment in jest and then as if by magic you appraised your scouting ability of players I’d not even seen you appraise.
I think you have proven my point.
anyway, back to monopoly.

Branthwaite is 19… He needs a good season on loan playing plenty of first team football in a competitive league.

just wanted to point something out - Lampard came in to a very tough situation, a club in turmoil, a squad with very low confidence, a lot of bad luck with injuries, ended up the wrong side of a few VAR decisions. Who are his closest peers as big name players in the early stages of their management careers? Steven Gerrard and Partrick Viera.
At the end of the season
Viera - 44 games, win rate of 34.1% (an Palace been very lucky injury wise)
Gerrard - 28 games, win rate 35.7% (Villa not been shy with transfer fees and wages and arguably have much a better squad at the moment)
Lampard - 21 games, win rate 38.2%
Just an observation, but Lampard has more than held his own in a very difficult situation.

Lots of stuff being written by media about how Lampard hasn't actually done anything special.
He's reunited a club with its fanbase, how can they not see that!!
Massive summer ahead, feel confident Lampard will get it right with squad changes

Gonna turn this off now and watch the Leeds/Burnley drama.
Night, all!

I feel as flat after a game as I’ve felt. The resurgence of hope has really made this result feel like a proper kick in the teeth.
im sorry but it feels like officiating is against us and we don’t have enough about us to overcome it.

I'm so fucking angry. That's another abysmal officiating performance that may very well have cost us this game. I'm not saying we would have definitely gone on to win the game if they'd done their jobs correctly, but it'd have given us a fucking brilliant chance to do just that. We're 1-0 up and cruising tbh, fully in control of the game, then we should be given the opportunity to make it 2-0 by being awarded a penalty when Richarlison is clearly being dragged in the penalty area by a Brentford defender. The ref has a clear view of it but doesn't give it, they then go down the other end and Branthwaite instead ends up getting red carded. This is where VAR is supposed to come into it's own and bring the play back to award the penalty and we get a reprieve on the red card. Nah, doesn't fucking happen. Then when we do get a penalty for some bizarre reason their player doesn't get a second yellow card which would've evened things up in terms of personnel. Nah, can't do that either.
Fuck off, just fuck off.

On the positive side, that's hopefully the last time we see him in our shirt

We were up 2-1 at the half with a man down, I would've been furious had he set us up to go out and attack

Emotion aside, Leeds are absolutely abysmal and will probably lose to Brentford. Burnley had a little resurgence too but are shit themselves.
We're in deep trouble don't get me wrong, but out of us and the other two teams I'd rather be where we are.
If we can someone strap some bollocks on and beat Palace, it's done before the final day anyway, I'm just absolutely gutted that I could be relaxing tonight knowing that we're safe (and given how we started, with 11 men we win that game for me. We were all over them).

On Frank this one.
setting up the team to get fucked on second half, because that’s the only possible outcome with that shite negative tactics.
-
nyblue23 reacted to Hafnia in Brentford (Home) 15th May
Because the first red should have actually been a penalty the other end…. Then they give away a penalty that was a second yellow. Not difficult

Thats not luck, its football.
Its bad play from the young lad. Penalty or not he shouldn't have done what he did.

Should have had a penalty when Richi had his shirt pulled in the box.

Referee has screwed us massively. Should’ve been 2-0 with 11 men. Game changer massively, even at 2-1 we were on thin ice
